Hey Guys,

I am feeling very low today. Had my IELTS speaking test separately conducted today and LWR on 2nd Oct. I went to test center with my old passport(against which booking was done) and photocopies of old and new passport. I had to submit my passport for France work permit stamping to consulate yesterday and hence could not carry my new passport as its with consulate for next 1 week.
I upfront mentioned this situation to which I was outright rejected to take the speaking test for not having current valid passport. I was helpless, i have to make France work trip on Oct 10th for next 6 months.
I spoke to Area manager, same response.
They said, if you can get the passport from Consulate tomorrow then we can align your speaking with LWR, but how can i get passport from Consulate? Am i entering a country that exceptional situation for not having passport(had stamping submission proofs) are not considered whatsoever. All my efforts and money gone down the drain, is what i am feeling..

Will cic still accept fsw 2014 applications from January 2015? i am getting conflicting information on this topic,some say the fsw 2014 will close in December while some say it will run concurrently with the express entry. I will appreciate if anyone can clarify this possibly with an official link from cic.

My documents won't be ready till early December so i am really hoping it will run with the express entry.

The rules of PSK do vary from one PSK to PSK and they shamelessly admit it to your face. They even deny to accept what is written on their own website. So please don't waste your time. Please apply for PCC directly from SP office.

what you say is true. PSK officers deny to accept what is written on their own website. But should we take it lying down ? No !!!

We can meet the APO who is incharge for the PSK and things start moving as desired. It is the junior staff who create problems most of the times due to their half baked knowledge.

You must land within 1 year of your medical exam. This cannot be extended.

Once you land and get your PR card, you must stay in Canada for 2 out of every 5 years to maintain PR status. You must stay in Canada for 4 year out of any 6 year period to be eligible for citizenship.

Does CC charge means , Immigration officers check NOC roles , and calculate points or will they do after CC charge . Thanks in advance

FBI PCC, the CC gets charged anywhere between 30 - 40 days from the Application received date.

For me, I requested for two separate reports from FBI. Both the reports did not reach my address in India. So I called FBI and asked them to send another copy to an US address. They did and I received the report at the US address now. I have asked my sister to courier it back to India using UPS.

Received PER email this morning. Thanks to all forum members for all your discussions that helped me thru this process. Thanks specifically to Jig Nesh for helping me early on in completing my application. Good luck to all. Hoping to receive my FBI PCC soon.

Its been 1 month since I applied for FBI PCC, does anyone know how long does it take for them to charge my credit card?

I have applied myself with guidance from Y axis availed there service and do double check of my documents before sending to CIC as per checklist also my WES Report was as per norms sought by them along with application .

Thats why i m so confused if CIC has to reject they shoudl reject and send my application back to me that is also not done by them neither they have responded back on my Email .

Also i checked with my Bank people they confirmed me my bank DD is not charged yet .

I have already believed that my application is rejected by them but still wondering why have they not send my kit back to me neither responded to my request of information sought .

Can anyone suggest how to tackle this situation.

The beneficiary's name on DD is THE GENERAL RECEIVER FOR CANADA or GENERAL RECEIVER FOR CANADA ?? in the payment form it's with " THE ", however in the guide and in the checklist it's without it .. Please advice..

I just saw my staus on ECAS and it mentioned that - We received your application for permanent residence on June 5, 2014. Whats that means?

My mode of payment is DD and I have no idea whether DD is encased or or??

I m worried now...

It means it has been cashed and you should await PER. Congrats!
