No, sharing is not fault.

File transfer is one of the confusing issue. File is transferred as soon as PER is issued. So you can say PER = File Transfer.

However, AOR means the sending file has been received by the VO. Some VO do issue AOR and some don't. From this year, New Delhi is not issuing. So if someone update File Transfer/AOR from New Delhi applicants, other applicants also get confused.

This is why I was asking confirmation from the applicants who update it in the spreadsheet. It is nothing personal - just trying to keep the integrity of the data in the spreadsheet.

My ECAS status shows "In Process". When I click on it, it says we received your application on May 28th.

I have paid through draft and I don't know it's encashment status.

Is it a good sign? Any chance of PER?

It means you will get PER soon. Your DD is already encashed.

I'm Writing this cos I read somewhere that the DD was charged after 4 months even if it was written on the DD that the validity is 3 months only..

Just curious about the working of DDs, Now consider the first step, One prepares a DD for $ABC for Bank XYZ. He/She either pays the amount(local currency) directly to the Bank XYZ or it gets deducted from the Account of he/she. Now the Money has vanished from his/her pocket or from the account and it's now been put into a paper, the so called DD. Now the DD is brought to the Bank PQR, which is in some other country by CIC. The Bank PQR takes the DD (a paper) and sends it to the Bank XYZ for Getting the real $.

Now the question is if there is a legal agreement between the Banks XYZ & PQR that the DD should be valid for so an so term, and the Bank XYZ denies to give the real dollars to the Bank PQR after the validity of DD has crossed!!

Point is if there is a legal agreement between banks then they would not keep the validity for a very long period as some have mentioned in previous posts...And the Banks would not go awry and breach any guidelines given by the government of that country......

My Application received by CIO on 8-May
CC charged 9-July,
PER received 13-Aug
London Visa Office, NOC 2131.
Admins please help in updating the SS as the URL is blocked in KSA.

By the grace of Almighty Allah I got my PER few days ago. My VO is SGVO.
I have some queries regarding this.
I got an opportunity to do my MS in advertising Leeds university with 70% scholarship. I don't want to miss it. But my problem is
1. if I go to uk with a 1 year student visa will there be any problem to my application.
2. will my visa office remain the same
3. My employer will not let me leave he is ready to grant me an unpaid leave.
4. My wife will not go with me. Will that create any problem.
Please seniors help me with this issue.

Did anyone email their Visa Office? I am trying to find out how long does the VO's take to respond to an email?

I have sent an email to CPC-Ottawa, and I am curious how long they take to respond. I know that the CIO-Sydney takes about 6 weeks.
