non-recognized university is not a problem here. The actual problem lies in the assessment itself : that is post-secondary STUDY instead of a degree or a diploma.
No point is awarded for this assessment.

I am afraid with the return case of "ToCanadaWithLove"... I have also not included the following two forms in my application because they were not applicable to me:

1) Additional Dependants / Declaration (IM 0008 DEP)
2) Use of a Representative (IM 5476)

The only dependents are my wife and my baby (8 months old), therefore I didn't included IM0008DEP as the info of these two dependents are already included in Generic Form. However, in place of these two forms I printed two papers with the name of form written on them and "Not Applicable" written at the end.

Anybody else skipped these two forms and got PER??

LANDING EXPERIENCE

Hello Folks!

I am back from Canada. It has been quite a while since my last post. I was busy with some travel and the Canada landing. Here is my landing experience.

I landed in Canada on 26 August 2014. I was already in UK for a trip, so I took a flight from London to Toronto. The flight was via Montreal. My destination in Canada as per my application was Calgary.

I landed in Montreal and was done with my immigration /landing formalities in a short while. The wait in the queue took an hour ..the immigration formalities itself took 15 minutes. I had nothing with me, just a small bag and no funds , no list of items to follow.

Immi Officer: How much funds are you carrying funds with you?
Me: Zero. Only cards.

Immi Officer: Okay. So how much money do you have at your disposal to be transferred to canada for your settlement?
Me: 30,000 CAD

Immi: Any goods to declare?
Me: Nothing.

Immi: ( Looking at my bag) Is that all you luggage ?
Me : Yes.

Immi: Any goods to follow?
Me: May be some items. My wife will landed later so she will get them

Immi: Address in Canada?
Me: ( my sisters address)

And that was it. He gave me the welcome to canada look and the book Smiley
Next day I rented a car and went to Service Ontario office. Got my SIN in 5 minutes. Checked a few banks for accounts,CC, etc.
Stayed in Canada for 7 days as a tourist. And returned. My sister will send me the PR card by post later.

If anybody has any queries regarding landing, feel free to drop me a line.

Good luck to all.

Regards

Side Note: This is a clear evidence that we don't need to carry any POF with us in the form of Cash / DD / TC but carrying only Debit cards / bank statement will suffice provided we convince the officer that we have minimum funds at our disposal which can be transferred to Canada.

Much appreciated, thanks for sharing this BetterLife :)

+1!!

Checked, no attempts. Should I mail CIC, seeking status?
I can say that people who applied after me got already?

Yes you have the right to approach CIC once ur application is received since more than 90 days... But I suggest stay hopeful... I am sure many in pipeline still

Hi All,

I applied under NOC 1123, submitted my application on 12/09. I understand that it will take around 100-120 days to get reply from CIC. However, I was just curious with regards to PCC.

I am Indian Citizen and residing in UAE from last 3 years. When I was in India, I stayed in Pune and Delhi. Do I have to get PCC from both cities or I can reach out to Indian Embassy in Dubai and get the PCC. Also, PCC required from Dubai Police, Correct?

Regards,
Sarvesh

I am not concerned about the points. Tell me will they consider my PG diploma ?

NO, since it is assessed as a STUDY, you will get 0 points for education. Is that enough for you to get 67 points?

How much time do they take normally to respond? I see that for some June applicants, application packages have been returned. So,should I consider myself safe there? I am a 28th May applicant

are their separate forms of additional family information (form- 5406) we have to give or one page with all family member information. as i had sent one page of 5406 with all member listed in it

You should have fill 2 Additional Family Information Forms one from your side which will have your spouse, parents, kids & brothers/sisters info if applicable & other from your wife as Principal Applicant, you as spouse, her parents, then same your child info & her brother/sister if applicable info

Hi Namaste,

Thanks for your insight, but don't you think this post-secondary study evaluation is made by WES because the applicant's institute is not listed with WES. The reason I am saying this is because its listed on CIC website that 2 year diploma in (any discipline) is awarded 19points.
I may be missing something, correct me if am wrong.
thanks.

They reply in 20-40 days...

Yes some applications of June month were returned and also an email was issued... most of them had payment issues.

In that regard you are safe... I hope they are working in 28-29-30 May as of now.
