But dear when i am trying to fill the form they are asking for 2 references

So i do not understand what to do

The two references are to be provided for two neighbors in your locality that you are presently staying and who know you.

Palak, the first honour was yours...That is important. It does not really matter who is there now. ;) ;)

Everyone remembers the winner, no one remembers the runners up.

Hi Seniors / Oscar,

I know that there has been some discussions related to sending additional documents and Oscar has detailed on how it has to be sent. But is it really true that on receipt of these additional documents, CIC will push the application back in the queue to the date when the additional documents were sent?Huh

I am 5th June applicant who lost his credit card on Aug 3rd and sent additional document [Fee Payment form] with new credit card details which was received at CIC on Aug 19th. However I dont think I identified my application with enough details when I sent the additional details [Dint mention additional documents on envelope/provided just name of primary:secondary applicant and document receipt date at CIC in the covering letter].

With the processing of 5th June applications nearing, I am frightened for my application. Do you guys feel that I should send the fee payment form again with proper identification and without fearing the application being pushed back in the queue? My NOC is 2173 and I cannot risk the application being pushed to so late back in the queue. Would really appreciate your 2 cents on this one.

Regards...

There is a famous optimist poem on this. It can be dedicated to you:

The Optimism

birdy, birdy in the sky
dropped a poopy in my eye,
i'm not sad, i don't cry,
i'm just glad that cows don't fly.

Amazing poem Century... ;D ;D

Dear All,

CIC said....

Due to the large number of applications we get, we cannot check that each one is complete on the same day it gets to the office. The numbers on this page are updated at least once a week, but are only a guide. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap by the time it gets to the Centralized Intake Office.

what they mean actually..?? does this number reflect the completeness of application/documents after just receiving at CIO..??

Hello Seniors,

I am nearly there with my application and hope to send it out on Monday/Tues..just waiting for the dd.

Just a few last minute questions.

1) I am sending all my Bachelors notorised marksheets.

My wife has done her Bachelors and then did a Part time Diploma. I have mentioned this in the form but forgot to get her Diploma and her Bachelors marksheets notorised. Do we have to send the notorised diploma and marksheets for my wife?

2) there is a period of arnd 10 months last year when we are showing different addresses for the same time frame. We were both in the same city but she was living with her parents, and i was living with mine. This was because she had to stay with her parents due to health issues.

Will this difference in address for 10 mnths cause any problems with our application?

Please help

No need of notarised marksheets and no issues with different addresses.

Both things are perfectly fine with CIC.

~~PCC from UK~~

For my masters I was in UK for continuous 7 months, and then came back home for 1 month vacation again went back stayed 4 months. Now in my police clearance from UK does is mean to mention 12 month of 7 month I stayed there?

One more thing, 1.5 year back I took clearance from uk for a different purpose. I still have that certificate. Do I need to take it again now as 1 year passed!!? I am wondering after completion of study in 2009, I didn’t went back there so no record of me even exist. So it’s going to be the same clearance like my previous one that I have taken 1.5 year back. But still do I need to get one new??

Another question

I am currently working in USA on L1A visa which is stamped till 2017. However my I-129S is already expired and I am staying here based on my I-94 which is valid till 2017. My Visa has "PED" mentioned as July 2014. So ideally if I leave USA then to reenter I need to have my visa stamped.

In the current scenario I may get landing papers in next 1-2 months. Having said that, can I land in Canada for completing the PR formalities and come back to USA on same visa ? I intend to complete my USA stay till March 2015 and then permanently move to Canada for good. So I was wondering if I need to extend my USA visa OR being travelling between USA & Canada, I can retain my I94 and using that I can reenter USA.

Your detail guidance in this matter is highly appreciable.

Thanks

[size=10pt]I don't know much about L1 and what I-129S is. But seems that you have a valid status since you are still working. You can go to Canada and return to the US within 30 days without a valid visa using "automatic visa revalidation" if :

1)you have a valid non-immigrant status (carry supporting documents) and a valid I94 and an expired/previous US visa
2)you don't apply for a new US visa in Canada and
3) don't leave Canada for a 3rd country

But to use this, don't submit I94 upon leaving Canada (since I94 is automated these days, they won't collect it anyways). Just say you are using AVR for reentry.

Hi Namaste,

Whatever you have written is absolutely wrong..

If you are on I94 and you leave USA you can never go back unless you get a new Visa stamped.. I am 500% sure.. Visa and I94 are two separate things for US.. To enter US you need valid un-expired visa and you are legal to stay as long as the I-94 is valid... Let me explain with an example.. If you have a valid visa till 2017 and on I-94 if the date is December-2015 then you must leave US by end of 2015 or get your I94 extended.. The vice versa of this is also true.. If your visa expires but you have a valid I94 then you are legal to stay till I94 validity date but when the moment you leave US you need a valid visa to re-enter.. There is no role of I94 at the time of entry but it does in exiting.. So I would suggest "Dream of Canada" that you just utilize your I94 till March 2015 or even till August/September 2015 and whenever you are ready to move to Canada on PR you can go as it will be valid for one year... hope I am clear...
I have fair idea of US L1 Visa and I-94 ... Let me know if there is still any confusion..
