Thanks buddy, for your prompt reply. The issue is, actually he has just started with his first venture and it would take almost till May '15 to finish, then be sold after that. So for all practical purposes, he is constructing a house, in his own name, using his own resources- which he obviously plans to sell to generate money- but on the face of it, he's just constructing a house for himself. Get what I mean? There's nothing per se right now that suggests he's doing this as a business. Hence the predicament.

I am not sure what needs to be submitted to the VO but since the VO would be local, he/she would probably know the market and will be able to give direction as to what needs to be submitted as employment documents in this case? Also, one option would be to show proof of purchase of new property, contract showing construction work, sale proof (if any), and license or whatever is required to enter this kind of business (if any)?
