REPOSTING!!

Dear Forumites!!

I have received PER yesterday.... I would like to ask you all few queries:

1) My passport doesnot have my wife's name ...( As it was issued before marriage). Do I need to get that updated... I mean is it mandatory???

Not mandatory

2) As per the trends when can we expect MR PCC & RPRF?? 75 days

3) How to get PCC from commissioner of Police?? Walk into any police station

4) What amount of funds I need to carry to canada when I land? Minimum you need to take is as per your number of members, secondly anything over 10k has to be declared. CIC specifically mentions that any amount is welcome.

Thanks in Advance for your valuable reply

Regards,
Prateek

Hi All,

If we send the application today what is the indication that I am within the cap. Will CIC send any notification or any communication that we have fallen within the cap?

How to know that I am within the cap and safe

Dear All,
I am 21, May applicant in NOC: 2173 was waiting for CC charge that my friend whose credit Card details I had sent.
He lied to me and told yesterday only that his card was lost and new is in transit.
Please tell me if
1) I can send DD to CIC. Will they consider it now.
2) Do CIC send email if in any case transaction was not processed/failed.
Please reply ASAP as I can do something before application is returned.

Thanks in advance

you can try but i think you are screwed, sorry. :(

CIC simply sends the file back and will mention the rejection reason as payment unavailable.

Which NOC?

on 27th May, there are total 9 applicant. where only one user "FutureImmi" who is active and last posted on 15th august. Thankfully he/she had applied via CC. We would be only able to get update on 27th May if s/he post here about the charge.

Note: I have considered the name provided in SS to search them on forum.

1. Your passport is not evidence of your marriage, it's a travel document only. It doesn't matter if your wife's name is in it or not.

2. Seems to be happening slowly so far.

3. CIC's web site has a page that tells you how to obtain PCCs from anywhere.

4. You don need to carry any but you must provide updated POf similar to what you did in your application.

Well said future canadian.

I personally feel PCC issuance from passport office or passport seva kendra is faster in India than from police commissioners office. In my case it was just 2 hours. Someone might have a different view though.

Good news as CPC-O will be my VO if PER comes :)

Hey Mikeypm,

I notice that you have a British flag on your profile pic. So, I assume that you're from the UK. You mention that you'll choose CPC-O as your VO if you receive a PER. Can one do that? In other words, can someone choose a VO in a country other than theirs for processing?

Am planning to send my application by this Oct second week(waiting for some docs). My NOC is 2281. Once my appln reaches CIC how will I know whether am within the cap or not

Hi Randev, I'm currently in Canada on a TWP so as I have been legally admitted to Canada for at least 12 months I can pick CPC-O. This is a great option as LVO are super slow :(
