Hi
My CC got charged today. However still not received any mail from CIC.

How much time CIC takes to send the mail? Shall i assume my application has been accepted?

Regards

it was received on 23rd May under NOC 1112.

You should get it soon, within 7-14 days, if no problems.

Thanks Neel - Here.

Two more for you you :) lol

1) I am currently in Canada in my 3rd semester and my spouse working back home. Who would be a better primary candidate ? We both are Investment Bankers with more than 8 years of experience.

- My spouse has a masters but his passport is going to expire May 2015 (someone told me the passport needs to be valid for more than 6 months at the time pf application or when they are processing the application)

- Also, I believe he needs to have more than 1 year of valid visa if he applies from Canada (He is waiting decision on his work permit which if he is granted will be only till 30Aug 2015 similar to mine as he would me coming as a students spouse)

2) How many points are credited in the Language parameter if the IELTS rating is 7 or 8 ?

Thanks Neel or anyone who would extend help

@ ND,

"Who would be a better primary candidate ?" - The one whose Work exp. (Job duties) has a higher match (70-80%) with the Prim. NOC you're going to apply. Since you mentioned earlier there's a partial match with 0111.
(Unless you both met for the first time jab you were on the same work floor.. lol :P)

There are other IB related NOC's in the Eligible List of Occupations (50).. say, 1112, 1113, 1114, 1212 et al <FYI>

Pls expect response from other Forumites on how to best leverage your Canadian presence.

At first glance, I thought you're saying Two more +'s for me.. :o

Hi people,

As expected the bank blocked the CIC charge in the CC because I never use it outside USA.
I called the bank and aproved the charge... so, in how many days I expect the new try? 2 to 3 days?

Thanks a lot!

I'm a May 22nd applicant :)

Today is the happiest day in my life
I am 16- May applicant DD I received today my PER
I want to say some mistakes I did it but alhamdllaeh it passed

1- I sent my file to po.box mail instead of other address however I used courier not regular mail
2- all my experience letter didn't contain numbers of working hours or salary
3- additional family form I wrote me as applicant in the 2 form instead of 1- form related to me and other form related to my wife
4-in 10 years experience I wrote 2003 instead of 2004
5- I forgot to make labels to my address :)
6- I didn't use any cover letter or any clarification paper
But you should believe if Allah need some thing it will happen whatever you do +ve or -ve
It will happen without rational

I just wrote it to be beneficial to all my friends here
You r really great forum and everybody here wants to help the other
Best regards

I am sure everyone has experienced this - You may know the answer but you get a feeling of comfort when someone reassures the same thing.. ;D ;)

Based on that, What do you guys think of a May 30th applicant for NOC 1112?

I'd say you are SAFE (calls out like in baseball) ;D.

I had sent my PCC with application on May 23rd. The PCCs were obtained on March 2014.
How long are they valid for? Should I start scrambling for new ones?

Got PER Last Night

NOC :2131
App :16 May
cc Charge:27 Aug
PER :8 Sep

Important:
1) Provided total 5 Job duty items and 2 were similar to JD in NOC descriptions. But Other 3 duties are part of my profession.
2)Used 10th class (High School Certificate) which contained DOB and Parents names + Self Affidavit and An Affidavit from Parents.
3) Used Pension fund as POF,which is payable after leaving Job.

SS updated.

Thanks to everyone here for their help and Special thanks to Kollins who helped me when i was worried about JD thing.

Good Luck to every one.

Good to hear, congrats. +1 for the update.

On another note, I'm glad CIC consider #3 above. Had something similar but eventually decided against including it as settlement funds. Instead, I noted it as part of assets.

We have this 1113 9th May Applicant on Forum who got DD encashed on 30 Jul and PER 21 Aug..

Until 8th Sep the CIC Cap update (Global) is "0" for 1113 :P

This way the NOC 1113 is Not going to be filled in eternity ;D ;D

(Pls don't tell me that latest Cap update doesn't count 21 Aug (or later) PER's :o )

:o :o ???

This is a really shocking revelation if true (that cap update doesn't count this PER for a May 9 applicant).

Guys,

I have attached my birth certificate which does not have a name, nor do i have attached any affidavit for this, now reading the forum i am getting that i should attach affidavit or something for this.

Is it necessry to do that, will that cause rejection or will they ask for it if needed. ?

6th June app reached, patiently waiting for CC Charge
