Try looking for dates in another city..... You might be able to enroll for an earlier date.

Yes, this is one good option. Just one caveat here, normally Speaking test is held a few days before or after the R/L/W test and the date for speaking test is also made known to you just 7 or 10 days before the actual test date. Thus be prepared to add this possibility of staying at that remote location for more than 2 days, considering that speaking test maybe on a work week day.

Good Luck!!

An experience worth sharing.

Today I went for PCC at the PSK located in my district. I had thought that I will get it today itself (as my police verification was completed at the time of passport issuance). However, to my surprise the govt official routed me to the counter where I got application receipt with information that I will have to come to PSK again after Police Verification succeeds. This system is just crazy. All want to make money for their counter parts.

Already paid for PSK and now to get verification done again I will have to pay some amount to constables/etc etc. God....... seriously, we can't change anything in the system here. We are the system....

Not looking down on any one here in our country, but its not the politicians or govt or law which has to change. Its the people who have to change. Its extremely frustrating, how many times these guys blame the govt and do not do their job when they enter the office. No one empathizes with you and sensitivity to your problem is the least expected virtue of these guys.

Hope the next generations change....... for good.

One suggestion is to approach the police station on your own with the pcc applications, pay them (most important step) and ask them to send the report the same day. Sorry for encouraging this practice, but honestly speaking, a guy who goes by the law will always be the last. Good guys always come last.

No they did not. however, i know what all stages will now PCC request will go through:
1. PSK to SP Office
2. SP Office to Police station that falls under my area
Verification will be done
3. Police station to SP Office
4. SP Office to PSK
5. PSK --> Email notification
6. Then i will go t here again to get the PCC.

I think this process will at least take 30 days if done without any approach / bribe

well that's exactly what i went through as well. i asked the TCS guys who scan and upload the documents and he explained that if Police verification has not been done in the past 6 months, then it would only be issued after verification. same day issuance is only for cases where verification took place within last 6 months.
