Dear Senior Members,

Good data points mentioned above. Can any one, from their past experience, guess the reasons for applications sent earlier are not getting processed and the ones latter are getting PERs. One reason, we need to give benefit of doubt, is that some of the members may not have come back and updated their status, correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you.

srbhrn,
Please note that you only need 1 year of experience in your nominated occupation(as a mandatory condition under this particular FSW class of application). Experience in other NOC codes can still fetch you points. So my suggestion is to include the other company references(TCS) as well(whatever you can get and include like salary slips, appointment letter, etc. - may be you can try and get a letter from one of known seniors that would be great).

Having said that, did you evaluate your total points and see that you are good without TCS experience? That will be reassuring for any steps taken related to TCS experience

Thanks for your reply. I feel I am good on points (on safer side side of 75).

My main concern is being able to portray that my current job where I have 4.5 year experience matches with NOC.

I have following positives:
1. My designation (Information Security - Consultant/ Assistant Manager) matches the one listed under NOC 2171
2. Experience letter briefly states my role as Information System Security Consultant. Nothing else can be written as shared by HR.
3 I have certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security professional & ISO 27001, which are directly relevant to NOC.

Negatives:
1. I dont have an official document which states my roles and responsibilities.

How do I take care of negative. Write a letter myself and attach a resume? I cant get a reference letter from Senior on Deloitte letter head, as I am trying to keep it under wraps till I am sure.

Plus I am hoping that 2171 stays open for another 10 days. My calculations say It will be OK. :)

Hi ,

I am a May 22nd applicant (NOC Code 2173).My credit card got charged for 550 CAD today.

Thanks to all the members for their guidance and support.

I second this as i also have hired abhinav outsourcing and i have to say they are good :D

So far that is!

I have a different opinion. My fried is using Abhinav Consulting, Bangalore and based on her updates, she had to do numerous follow ups for her work. Even now they have not shared with her the tracking number of her application. Plus I was the one who informed her about PCC from FBI, they didn't even mention the same to her.

As far as I remember they just proof read your applications , once it's completed by you. That too they send it first to Delhi and from there it gets sent. So, she submitted her app in Bangalore on 20th May and they sent her app on 28th. That's a huge loss of time , if especially you are in a Hot NOC.

@Oscar7, did they share with you the final complete copy of the package that was sent to CIC? I really want her to verify it and she was not provided the same >:(

srbhrn,
Your points to showcase your experience relevance to the choosen NOC are all valid(title, certifications, role on experience letter). However, for a moment try to get into the shoes of cic officers trying to evaluate different people belonging to different NOCs. Hence, they have clearly provided the basis which they would use to evaluate if your experience matches with any particular NOC and that is through - the list of roles and responsibilities(R&R) on their official documentation and checklist.

Hence, in this scenario, as seniors suggest, if you arent able to include R&R on company letter because of any reason, try atleast get that on plain paper from a supervisor or senior colleague and include their business card. This along with your official Deloitte material should be good enough to substantiate your employment and also the relevance to particular NOC.

Hope this helps!

Dear Seniors;

I have a query.

I had applied for NOC 5125.

For work experience I had stated two jobs, Job A & Job B.

I provided the following supporting documentsfor these jobs:

Job A: Reference letter, appointment letter
Job B: Cover Letter (Self declaration why I am not providing a Reference Letter and listing my responsibilities), appointment letter, appraisal letter, salary slips etc.

Now I have acquired the Reference letter for Job B as well which states my job responsibilities. I want to send this to CIC. I know Oscar says that this will probably push my application back in the que; however I suppose my NOC is a cold one so I can afford going back in the que.

So what should be the correct method of sending the application. What all documents should I include? I am assuming the following:

Cover Letter explaining why I have sent the additional document.
Bar Coded pages
Additional documents

And now I know what not to do, i.e. use DHL.

Is this correct or some other way? Is there some guidelines given on CIC website?

Please help.

Question to all the seniors here. Do you think there will be discretion used by the case officer in processing a file or do they just go by the facts stated on the file. Does CIC do any verification or the local VO does it? Just a thought, trying to associate this with the delay in processing the file. Will there be a situation where they have to take further guidance from some one higher up?
