In my humble opinion your duties should match the ones given here: http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/quicksearch.aspx?val65=2173

Oh ok. That's a specific question that can be answered by those who are in the 2173 field. If you think they match, then you are good to go :-).
Best of luck. I hope you send your application soon.

Hello all,

There is a column entitled "Medicals Received by the VO" on the spreadsheet (column AH). For those of you who have entered a date on this column, how did you know the date that your local VO had received your medicals? Is it the date medicals have been received entry that is generated in ECAS?

I wish to apply for NOC 2171. I have sent my application to WES on Sept 2,14 and my IELTS exam is scheduled on Oct 18, 14.
Expected date for IELTS exam result would be Oct 31,2014 - 1st week of November. Till Then I will compile my application, but looking at Updated number of applications as on CIC Page it says, 161.

On spreadsheet it says, 262 applications. and an estimate 70% has been filled as per spreadsheet.
I will be hiring a consultant for filing my application and would be sending my application around 1st Week of November, assuming it reaches in Second week of November, is there any scope in this Year's run ?

Please suggest, as I would be investing Rs. 65,000/- in Consultancy fees, however money is not the problem, but want to get an idea or suggestion is it good to apply in first week of November.

Also I am supposed to get 23 points in order to make 67.
As I cant prepone my IELTS date and scoring 23 will only make me eligible. I am pretty confident on my English, though I would be gambling a lot of things - Consultant fees ( Not that much an issue, but still), CAP ...Its scary..

In short, I would be sending away my application required I score 23 pts in IELTS on Nov 1,2014.
Kindly suggest I would be really grateful to you for this advice. I know you are not God but a general insight would help me understand and not take the risk.

November 1st is way too late to apply under NOC 2171. The cap will be reached long before then.

+1 for your honesty.
But, is there no scope of squeezing in. Like zero scope, or can I get more clarity around mid October, because by then I would have paid my Consultant fees, and as I have already booked my IELTS date (Paid Fees), sent my documents to WES (Paid Fees), should I save my Consultancy fees and sit back for Express Entry or play the last gamble.
Also, what happens to Applications which are counted towards NOC and are returned/rejected. They are not subtracted from Applications counted towards NOC.

Friends in this great forum, I stumbled on this question and thought to post it here for feedback.

"I would love to find out as there are raging argument about work experience matching the educational qualification. Is it a requirement that your work experience MUST match your educational qualification?
What I see on he CIC website is for your work experience to match the NOC main duties of your eligible occupation. Can you help out please?"

Going by my personal experience, all you need to show is evidence of your settlement funds. You dont have to show proof of your liabilities. I hope this helps

Got the Medical Request and RPRF request yesterday. I am so excited. But I need some guidance folks.
My Daughter's passport is expiring in May 2015. My attorney says that the passport should be minimum 1 year valid at the time of Medical exam. I am currently in USA and to renew my daughter's passport from the New York Jurisdiction might take anywhere from 3 to 7 weeks. I have to get the PCC from USA and India done as well as my attorney says I have to get all this done in 60 days from now....

I am a bit worried and tensed. Help needed guys!!!!!

One Important note for all those who are striving for Reference letters from their current / previous employers. I want to tell you all that I was NOT ABLE to provide the reference letters in the format which is requested, Also, infact, I was unable to provide any reference letter on the letter head and with the manager's sign. All I did was I had submitted the Petition copy of my visa where all the things like the salary, designation and my job duties were mentioned clearly. I guess that I am thru. Atleast strongly hoping for that as I have received the medical request already!!!

CONGRATS TO BOTH APPLICANTS ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :D

Is there is any applicant from 14th may 2014 file received
