Hii all,

I am finding it very difficult to get the reference letter from my current employer where i am working since last 4 months, my direct manager is telling that they will issue these sought of letters only after completing one year employement period. However i got the ref letter from my old employer where i worked for 3 yrs 4 months. Could any one please let me know if there will be any negative effect on my application that if i dint submit the reference letter of current employment. I can instead submit contract letter, and visa copy. Please note that With previous company experience of three plus years i am getting the required points.

Thanks and Best Regards.

This should be ok as you are covered wrt points for experience. Just add a cover letter for your current work along with all contract docs, saying your company has so and so policy wrt giving references.

Good Luck!!

@k b brother congrats...pray for us too...

And all the best to all my fellow forumites waiting for their pie of sweet cake..

God bless !!

Hi guys' I'm sailing in the same boat. I'm a 26thmay applicant of 1112. The count of cap is 460 which I believe is all PERs issued. I could be on the very edge by the time its my turn for PER, whether dd has been encashed or not. They can still return due to cap even after dd is encase. What say???

Highly doubtful. As dmitrych has very neatly laid out in the quote below, its highly likely once your CC/DD is charged, you could be counted for caps, unless there is rejection reason. Plus you are 26th May applicant.... relax , you will sail through :)

Well, your estimate comes from an assumption that numbers published by CIC are number of PERs issued. It's possible, but again - this is the same old question we have no real answer for. My old post has more thoughts on this:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2014-applicants-timeline-lets-network-here-t199004.31965.html#msg3278060

And specifically, there are these FSW 2013 stats, which show that PERs continue to be issued well past the official cap full date (clickable):

- it looks like fee charge date is much closer than PER to the official cap full date, and that's what I'd use for estimates:

There were 157 applications from the spreadsheet with NOC 2174 and their fee encashed on or before 2nd of September (when the caps were published). Which means, the estimated percentage of worldwide applications in the spreadsheet for this NOC is 33%.
Which is very close to the actual FSW 2013 statistics - 31% of worldwide 2174 applications were in the spreadsheet and got into the cap in 2013. And FSW 2013 statistics can be considered more reliable, because we don't have this ambiguity of what dates/statuses to count: we just count all applications that were accepted for a given NOC.

So, I respectfully stay with the existing spreadsheet estimate of at least 16th of October for 2174 cap full date :) And it does not fully account for the fact that number of incoming applications decreases over time, so the date will probably move even further.

The usual disclaimer: this is still an estimate and no one can know for sure.

Hey guys,

According to my nationality, my visa office should be Ankara in Turkey. I also wrote Ankara in my CIC form as my VO. Yesterday I got the AOR email from visa office but I noticed it is from Embassy of Canada in France instead of Turkey.
What does it mean? Have CIC changed my visa office to France?

Friends and Seniors,

Here are few Silly and Important questions of File making, please help in getting answers:

1) What is the meaning of Application File for FSW application? Is it the nor file for document, some envelope of special size or type, what is it actually? Is it include single or multiple file covers, separated by some indicators?

2) Let's say I have completed the forms, collect all the documents mentioned in the checklist, now what to do, how to arrange them ? any specific order - what comes first and what is later?

3) Are these document have to be stapled, tagged or what?

4) I need to write a covering letter for one or other issues specific - what is its format - to whom it would be adressed, how it would be started, body and ending ? where it is to be place in the application file?

5) How the file is to be sealed - I mean, to be packed in paper envelope, polythene, binding, spiral or what ?

6) How to include photographs - I mean in packet, pasted somewhere, or stapled?

7) Is there any segregation in File and how?

These are such small but important questions, whose answers are nowhere been given directly.. SO Help is requested ...
