The method by which CIC may verify your references could be a phone call or a walk-in, no body knows for sure. People that I know personally, were never put up for verification before receiving their PRs, but that should never be taken as a common indicator.

If your documents are solid, you have nothing to worry about.

As far as supervisors and reference points changing their contacts are concerned, the VO will probably approach you for an updated info should they fail to contact the person on the provided contact number. Remember, this process only takes place in your Local VO (post file transfer) and therefore they can always approach for anything that they need updated in the future (ex: PCC/Bank Statements/Payslips for the Current Job etc).

Thanks nishesh3003 !!! +1

Sorry mate.

Well the reasons are self -explanatory

"The employment letters from <<EMPLOYERS>> do not provide sufficient evidence that you performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation or that you performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational description of the NOC, including all of the essential duties".

As you can see , substantial number of duties alone would be enough.

More alarming is that, your consultant is right. You were rejected because of self declared duties.. Not because of not having a lead statement.

Thank you all for prompt response.

My profile's is as below (starting from current employer and latest role/designation-)

1. Assistant Consultant (But duties are more of Tech lead)
2. Project Leader
3. Application Developer
4. Trainee software engineer

Based on the above roles for which category I shall apply?

Consultant is suggesting to apply under Database analysts and data administrators -2172. Kindly suggest.

Regards,
Dev

For FSW program, Academic IELTS is not valid. You need to minimum 6.0 bands in each module and that is in GENERAL IELTS.

I see. That means I have to take the General IELTS. I am concerned though that the cap for my profession might be reached before I get my results.

@Rizza- You need to write IELTS General (GT) and not academic

@Rizza - Is the WES assessment over?

Dev,

You should be naming and shaming such consultants. Please provide their name and location so their business is impacted at least through the footprint of this forum, and the word is spread outside as well. I recall you were worried about your application for a while. Anyways now that it is back give it your best shot and try sending again.

The output one gets from a consultant is only as reliable as the consultant / their firm (that is why advance background checklist or reference check on them helps). I know Opulentus for one is a shabby consultant, Y-axis is another such consultant that I have heard people say not too good about (though there are always exceptions basis individual experience). Most importantly, our job as applicants doesn't end with passing the buck entirely to the consultant - we always need to stay on top of things and be well informed on critical aspects (even though we have hired a consultant). However, your guy seems an exceptionally bad case, as the reason of your rejection is mostly very well known in this business.

Select the new NOC basis good match of duties (not the job title itself, but roles and responsibilities) with any of the remaining 217x that are not yet full.

The reason for the return is "because of unavailability of lead statement for the occupational duties from employer." Make sure at least one of your new reference letters matches well with the new NOC duties that you apply for.

You need to learn, and learn quickly to be able to recover successfully from the assault.

All the best!

Thank you Oscar,

@Theus17
@Rizza

Not late at all as of now, but apply asap before its too late... :D

noc 3012 is not that hot and its only 29
to reach its full it will take probably till the end of FSW14, that's what i can judge from last year's caps.

and the no. of caps can be analysed by SS,

Yes, I received the PER email last week. There was not an email for contact in that message though. Usually, how long does CIC transfer the file from the Canada to their overseas consulate.

I dont think I have to give my supervisor would need an exact time, but I should inform him that a call from the consulate might due from XXX day onwards. Caller ID is mandatory by law in Taiwan, whether it is a landline or mobile. Due to the humongous amount of scam calls over there, most people would not answer phone calls with an unknown called ID. And, calls from countries with 8-digit local numbers do not show correctly, there is no way for one to tell whether those calls are from China, Singapore or Hong Kong by just looking at the caller ID.

Hi Felix

I am little confused now.

Has the call already been made by CIC or are you assuming it would be made in the future ?

No calls were made yet. I assumed it will happen sometime in the foreseeable future, say, in the coming months. It seems most applications (may be it is my wrong impression) got the letter verified one way or other.
