Hi everybody,

I live in Canada, my application was received on July 3, 2014.
But, I have not received any response from the CIO in Sydeny, NV, Canada, yet.
It has been about 8 weeks that they have received my application. The CIC website says that they have not my information.
Please let me know if this is normal. If it is not normal, what should I do?

I am 14 May applicant and received my PER yesterday. Can anyone please guide me of next steps?

I have few questions:
1) I am Pakistan national but was on student visa in Australia at the time of sending application. I have now come back. Please guide how should I inform visa office about change in my address and contact number.
2) For the proof of funds I had sent statement of my Australian bank account. Can I close that bank account? If yes, do I need to inform them?

No, I do not buy that. I am quite sure that the consultant is wrong. There is a possibility that the rejection may have been on account of the verbiage in the Affidavit. Per CIC, the Affidavit has to be be issued by the applicant, clearly stating the inability to supply a birth cert, clearly capturing both names of the parents, place of birth, date of birth, etc. This backed with a secondary school leaving certificate, which has the date of birth mentioned, and the name of parents or parent, is admissible. This information has been reconfirmed and reiterated in the last couple of years, just do a google search and you can see for yourself. You obviously need to mention this in the cover letter, infact you can word it such: The hospital I was born in did not issue me a birth certificate. Birth certificates were made mandatory only after the commencement of the Indian Citizenship Act in the year 1987. Therefore, I am submitting an Original Affidavit sworn in front of the Notary official, and duly signed and stamped, as a proof of my birth year backed with my secondary school leaving certificate.

I was wondering if anyone could provide estimate based on last year activity.

1. Yes u need to inform ur VO...U can send updated present address by Case specific enquiry ..

2. If u want to close the account (if its too urgent then do that otherwise, keep this acc with the balance)...then u can add the requried balance to ur home country's bank and then close that acc. Send updated hard copy POF docs for both account to London....attach a cover letter stating the situation of change in the address...

As per last yr, NDVO has started to send MR/PPR on full phase from Nov 13...

So now u can guess urself...

2. After successful entry into the form, you will be redirected to a page. Please click on the "Edit your response"

3. Now you will redirected to another page, where you will find all your current entry in a from. For change or add entry in future either bookmark the page or copy and save the address from the address bar.

4. If you forgot to save "Edit your response" link, please resubmit and save it for future update. You old duplicate entry will be removed.

Has anyone come across a situation where two applications sent under same NOC (Second application sent once realised one has made mistakes in the first application).

If first application was somehow accepted, what was done for the second application? Did CIC accept to withdraw the application by email?

Please share personal experiences...
