ok, got it. I note you are at 67 points - if you don't mind sharing what is the break up of that number? I am just trying to understand your case better to see if you and I together can figure out the break-up / analysis of if anything is there as a flag-off / alert in the package

You don't have to share any of the above, in case you are not comfortable. Entirely your call mate!

age : 33

there you go sir...

my current designation is Quality Analyst too but I started this job 4 months back, my previous designation was Associate- Projects, I was a developer, team lead, etc.. Is this fine? Sad i am scared now after seeing someones application is returned, but my noc is 2174 though

thanks mate - can you please also add the points allocated for each along side so we can double check that points that you added are perfectly fine. I will also do that exercise in parallel, independently

Regarding Express Entry, most of us know tht Expression of Interest (EOI) in immigration will be initially submit along with CV, which will be added to a pool. The prospective employers will select few candidates against each opening, then those shortlisted candidates' EOI will be reviewed by CIC and selected candidates will be asked to send immigration application. However, after reaching Canada, immigrant will be free to join any company i.e. not necessarily the one which selected them.

Although i haven't searched much on net but a friend of mine who attended seminar in India by some consultancy firm learned the following

1. Application will be available for view by employers for only 6 months, after which it will be removed to give more visibility to other candidates.
2. Another EOI can be sent after a period of 1 yr from removal from the pool.

My personal opinion, it a misconception that only "highly experienced candidates" will be at an advantage. It all depends on employees needs and requirements. If they are looking for young blood, candidates with less experience will be selected and other way around if they need experienced employee. Its again my personal assumption that new entrants in the pool will be given higher visibility, what impact it could have....... i don't have enough understanding of Canadian Job mkt and their hiring pattern.

Net Net, although time from submission of application may be "Express" but the whole process will certainly be demanding and lot longer for majority of the candidates.

Hi Nagareru,
Express Entry 2015 will be a new program for which you will need to be 'selected' after your initial application. So, I would recommend you definitely apply under FSWP while you still have time. You can find all the details you need for NOC3132 on the http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/ website (yes, putting NOC3132 in the google search directs you to the relevant sites.) CIC website guides you on how to obtain PCC per country. Yes, it takes time, but you need to do it if you want to apply for immigration to Canada.

there is no race towards the end for that 1000th candidate - when it is approaching 1000 then from the last date they randomly pick the remaining "x" applications to get to the 1000th number...

for e.g. if 55 vacancies remain to get to 1000th number they pick 'random' 55 from the remaining let's say 86 that got at CIC on the last date when that particular NOC filled - only these will get both fee charged as well as PER, though the order can be just about anything i.e. some are 5 days ahead and some are 10 days later than the mean time of the entire batch of 55

In my opinion, I don't believe they randomly process the remaining applications, but rather process all applications for that date, and then close the cap and reject all subsequent dates, even if it means more than the established cap. At least, that's what makes more sense to me. But I could be wrong. Did the forum members from last year see two applications from the same NOC and the same date have one receive PER and the other be rejected because of the cap? This would definitely disprove my hypothesis.

Hi

I emailed CIO on the following email: cio-sydney-search-enquiry@cic.gc.ca, but I received no replies at all and not even an automated email response. I am an 8th of May applicant; My email was sent on 8-July 2014 and 8-August 2014.

Any advice?

Hi, Here you go.

background:

I work as a quality analyst with a healthcare compnay (contractor).

May be, the title i used was a wrong one:
Should i use Quality Analyst instead of Information System Analyst.
Please ifnd the letter that i submitted on original letterhead.
What i feel, is that they only consider the most recent 1 year experience to be covered under category 2171, which i fulfilled. do i have to use Quality analyst in on all my experience or Information system analyst. Also i worked as Business Analyst in couple of projects.

At first glance this letter looks to match with 2171 in my opinion. Anybody else who applied for 2171 can say what if anything is obviously wrong with this?

Ouch... that sucks, Oscar.
Very well pointed out, awilner.

Oscar seems to have deleted his post... Well, anyway, sorry to hear that, Oscar, I really hope you make it this time!

And so we have a firsthand (and obviously painful) experience that disproves my hypothesis. In this case, I tend to agree with Oscar's post about assigning PERs based on the random order the CIC guys work within a given date, until the cap is reached.

Finally by the grace of Almighty Allah, got my PER email today. Please update SS, all the best to everyone.

I have shared this with a lot of people in the forum and guys like Century, Shah and many others are aware. Glad that I was also able to share with you guys today!!!

I try to delete too much personal information anyway so deleted it - request fabioadias to delete his post too, if it is okay to ask? Just so the personal content there is off the records. Thanks guys - hope this was helpful! :)

Yes, very helpful, only also frightening as well. I'm rooting for you to make it this time, man!

I'm in, even CIC can't get me out now - I made them an offer they couldn't refuse LOL (I already got PER so now only VO can kick my a$$ out hypothetically)

Thanks for your kind words mate, appreciate it. Hope it is positive for you and all other friends here!! The more we are the merrier it is!

Glad to hear that! I just hope your offer did not involve a severed horse head in someone's bed, though ;-)

Hi we have already sent details of our medical results and we are now awaiting passport requests for issue of the Visa however one of us has just got a new passport. Do I need to inform LVO about my new passport?

Thanks

friends was wondering what is CAIPS notes? from what I have understood it is some sort of tracking process for your application status, some coded file off the CIC shelves!! At what stage can this be done/useful and does it really work? was wondering has anyone here ever used it?
