Hi All,

This is regarding the Police clearance certificate I need to obtain from the UK. I am in India currently and have been staying in UK for about 3 years (in last 5 years). I have to request for the PCC from UK now, however I have some queries:

Link to UK PCC site: http://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx

1) Need to know what option to go with for the certificates to be posted back to us( I am not in hurry!!, so delivery time doesn't matter if it saves me some money :D):
a. Secure International Delivery £9.00 per applicant OR
b.Courier – International Delivery ONLY £48.00 per return address.

2) What is the best advisable payment method? DD or bank transfer :-\. I don't think cheque from India would work!!

I need your advice experts.

Thanks

Dear Seniors,

I have query regrading my qualification and experience

i have completed my BCA in 2006 and MCA in 2009 and i have experience starting from 2006, which means there is an overlap of 3 years. so please let me know whether i'll get points for both experience and qualification during this overlap period or they will consider either one of these while allocating points.

Bear in mind how applications are being received I think it will be a long stretch to imagine that both packages can be tied up. Your native name and citizenship is missing that May well be quite a fatal error and could mean you application is returned.

Not writing in Native Language is not an issue.

Guys,

I am about to take a DD for 2 people(2*550 = 1100 CAD ). Can I take the DD from any bank or is it advisable to take from a Nationalized bank ??

Kindly suggest.
Regards,
Keerthi.

Best to use a recognised bank to guarantee no payment issues and to guarantee you can track when it will be enchashed

I did bank transfer and would say the secure international delivery is fine as I used that option to get my PCC from the UK delivered here to Canada

I'm not an expert with this occupation but my understanding is medical occupations need additional items such as licensing if the person is to work in Canada

Thank you, but she is working with somebody on salary & not practicing independently, still licence is required.

But raju, if ur file got returned due to cap , then I assume they would have not even opened ur file. Then how u got uci ?
Pls clarify dear

All files returned by CIC due to CAP full had UCI number mentioned on the form though the file was not processed further. And UCI number remains same throughout.

My citizenship isn't missing, I did indicate in my generic application form that I am a citizen of my country, I just wrote 'Not Applicable' in the Background/declaration form for status under the Personal History segment. I think the VO will understand that it is a genuine mistake.

I'd recommended contacting the CPA in Canada to confirm the requirements http://www.cpa.ca

People who have received PER....what status does your ECAS show. Does it show In Process or something else????

Thanks

If it's just on the background form and the generic form is ok they may reliase your mistake and continue to deal with. Just keep your fingers crossed :)

I don't have PER but my understanding is that ECAS will show in process and for some people stays at that throughout the whole process. ECAS is unreliable and it's best to work on what your VO requests and sends you to determine the status of your application

Hi, I have send my Application to CIC 20th August 2014 with 76 points for NOC 2173 through an agency, and is expected to reach by 27th August 2014. As per CIC on 25/08/2014 the number of application cap of NOC 2173 is 188 and which is updated every week.
I have a doubt that if my application reached CIC by this week , will it reflect in next week update of CIC .OR is any chance that my application would be in the cap list of 1000.
I just want to know whether the all 188 applicant got PER or it is the number of application receive by CIC for NOC 2173,
Please guide me,

It is believed that the cap update is based on PER numbers, currently CIC are upto 14th May for PER, bearing in mind you application is coming some months after is difficult to day if it will make the cap
