Because I printed my application on high-quality paper and included a lot of metallic paper clips, my package weighed 530 grams, and I had to upgrade to a 1-kg package. Hopefully, CIC would give me a couple of extra points for this :D

that was lot of stationery help! hope they do use those clips to put ur app on their notice board to process it faster :P :P :P

Agree with you. +1 for you. Even enrolling with professional bodies gets you help with getting good job.

P.S. for all who are coming to Canada as Accountant: Once you are in Canada, get your self enrolled in CGA program. You will get credit towards your Master & Bachelors in Accounting or dual (accounting & finance) done in your home country by presenting a copy of WES report. They will assess you on basis of WES and then they will tell you how much credit you get.

The reason I am telling you is many employer prefer employees who are perusing CGA/CFA/CPA/CMA/CPA(Payroll). All you have to do is get your self enrolled and write that you are working towards a particular designation, and trust things will get lot easier for you.

This is new for me. Do you have any idea for what course can be joined for a Business Analyst ?
So that it marks a good impression ?

very good and true thought...+1

Edit:- Karma Stops me so +1 deferred...

I now two guys, who recently went to Canada (IT experience) and got job within 1 month. Yes, u won't be getting same style job, especially if u r at senior managerial level ......... but try to understand tht u r going to Canada because it gives overall better lifestyle and opportunities to u n ur future generation.

You have to make some "sacrifice" in terms of position, but it won't be big ........ max 1-2 level down ............ yes it will mean 3-4 yrs of additional struggle to reach to ur current organizational level ......... but thts the cost of everything better for ur whole family.

When we r wary abt something, selective recall makes us remember & emphasize on bad experiences. There r thousand success stories, but again remember, Canada has already and will continue to attract best of the best ............ here we compete with average ppl, as some are better than us, many are like us, while few are below us ............ in Canada we will be competing mainly with exceptional and better ppl ........ so things will get lil tough, but that is what we are immigrating for.

The biggest mistake which some of the guys do, is they take their family along, have high monthly expense and can't wait to find a proper job which may require 3-5 months of wait time...... as their settlement funds are fast depleting, they tend to accept 1st or 2nd job and then remain stuck with it for life

LOL :D

Hi all.... :)

I am very new to this forum and found it to be very useful...... though much of the posts and queries are for documents purpose, I guess most of us are greatly concerned about the timelines. I submitted the application package on 29th july and am very hopeful to get the encashment in next one to two months inshallah. Is there any other member who applied under hoc 0711. Pleasure hearing more from you all.

Cheers. :D :D

[size=9pt] Or put it on display board for all case officers to see - this is the kind of 'quality' guy we want in Canada 8)

Yeah.. And I've also printed my additional sheets in color. I am not asking for much. I only want them to slightly raise the cap of NOC 2174 to make sure my application is gonna make it :)

****Need you urgent help*****

Dear All,

I called CES to inquire about my application status. They told me that the last page of my transcript is only attested by HEC, Pakistan and why it is so ?. Do you guys have any idea about this as when i went to HEC they attested my transcript in this way. Does this create any issue ?

@ Harka007...

as I told you, that's the story of the other side of the coin... :P i know that everybody here are well prepared for the bright side of the story... what I am not denying that...but that's a different story than the one which was stated earlier "that people come here with high qualifications and high hopes and work as cleaners etc..."

"we are "informing" you is the darkside of it so you'll get prepared of it... we don't want any demotivations here...."

+1 to you to Bro :)

@ Goku
@ ambrosio

Through recent changes in laws, it has been increased to 5 yrs :o

The news is as of Nov 2013, later this act has been inacted

http://immlawyer.blogs.com/my_weblog/2013/11/blog-posting-misrepresentation-5-year-ban.html

Here's what I have found on CIC website. Below is link:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/protection/fraud/document.asp

Its says "be forbidden to enter Canada for at least two years". It depends what kind of charges an individual is facing. They can also ban you for 10 years if you performed serious offence according to Canadian Law.

I have my quota set...when I will be there, I will have 6 months of cash to support me (which is more than enough time to grab a good job in IT)...if nothing works out (which I seriously doubt) I will come back and apply for job from here once i have it I will return...LMAO... :P :P :P

Veere !! On this note...+ 100 Pts ....
