I now two guys, who recently went to Canada (IT experience) and got job within 1 month. Yes, u won't be getting same style job, especially if u r at senior managerial level ......... but try to understand tht u r going to Canada because it gives overall better lifestyle and opportunities to u n ur future generation.
You have to make some "sacrifice" in terms of position, but it won't be big ........ max 1-2 level down ............ yes it will mean 3-4 yrs of additional struggle to reach to ur current organizational level ......... but thts the cost of everything better for ur whole family.
When we r wary abt something, selective recall makes us remember & emphasize on bad experiences. There r thousand success stories, but again remember, Canada has already and will continue to attract best of the best ............ here we compete with average ppl, as some are better than us, many are like us, while few are below us ............ in Canada we will be competing mainly with exceptional and better ppl ........ so things will get lil tough, but that is what we are immigrating for.
The biggest mistake which some of the guys do, is they take their family along, have high monthly expense and can't wait to find a proper job which may require 3-5 months of wait time...... as their settlement funds are fast depleting, they tend to accept 1st or 2nd job and then remain stuck with it for life
