Significance of ECAS Status and Process of PR Application for FSW Applicants

How to check ECAS? Does it need UCI? If so how to know UCI before PER email?

Oscar7....if you are saying PER is on the way...then how to check ECAS?

yes she will reappear for IELTS
our NOC is 2173.
so is there any chance that we can be in CAPs for 2173?
because we can only apply after her IELTS result

Regarding request for passport after medical, do we have to send the passport by courier or go to visa office personally for VISA stamping? Also does visa stamping happens necessarily at the designated Visa office only or can someone get it stamped in any other Visa office if a person is travelling (outside country of residence at the time when call for passport submission comes).

Any comments?

I was working abroad during last 4 years now i come back to my country of citizenship. My question is should i have to attach the supporting documents for country in which i m residing during last 5 years i.e. copy of visa, copy exit and entry stamps on the passport.

I have sent my application and CIC received it on 10th of June 2014. I applied for skilled worker under the NOC code 2173. Since then I didn't receive anything.. No notification, no additional request for documentation, no refusal or acceptance.. Is this normal? Should I have received some news by now?

Also I wonder how they manage the numbers in "Applications we will accept" table. Do they count you in after the first review of your application?

For Indians sending PP via courier is not recommended as it is not legal. And I'd hope stamping happens in your designated VO

Thanks Oscar7 for a prompt response! +1 for you That means passports will have to be submitted in person at the designated VO once the email is received post medical and local VO may take some time before returning the passports (do we know their Lead Time?). I may be required to travel to a different country for an assignment, hence this query. Also how much time does the VO provide for passport submission. Is it 1-2 weeks or something? My VO is New Delhi.

Any one from "New Delhi Visa office" received medical request yet? I was looking at the spreadsheet and noted that max. apps. are from New Delhi VO (835).

So if I'm not mistaken, CIC could only process the applications from 1st of May - 14th of May until now??? OMG!
I wonder if I will be able to get in the cap now??
It's funny that my husband thought that we were sending it in advance..
