Immigration Office requested for the processing of your application

the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country for at least one (1) year.
Note: Do not select the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) as the immigration office requested to process your application. Although you may be required to submit your application to the CIO, you must indicate the name of an appropriate visa office using the criteria ab

i DONT HAVE PROOF FOR NEXT 1 YEAR OF LAWFULLY ADMITTED AS MY REQUEST FOR EXTENSION WITH USA IMMIGRATION IS PENDING? WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You only have to prove that you HAVE BEEN lawfully admitted for one year, not that you are able to remain there lawfully for another year. I think you can choose CPC-O.

The problem is if you are unfortunate that your H1B is not renewed. Then you are either stuck dealing with CPC-O from very far away, or changing your visa office.

Then again, if you choose your home country visa office and your H1B is renewed, you will be dealing with your home country visa office from very far away or changing your visa office.

So in my opinion if you think the chance for renewal is greater than 50% go with CPC-O.

Hello Seniors,

This is a question on behalf of a friend of mine who got nomination through a provincial program. She recently got her medical and PCC requests. She did her medicals two weeks ago and has sent her PCCs as well. Last night she had noted that her ECAS status has been updated to reflect the receiving of her medicals. What does that mean? Does it mean that she has passed the medicals? Now that her medicals have been received, what's next? Is it the decision? Who makes the decision? Is it the CIC or the local VO?

It means her medicals have been received. If she's paid her fee and done everything else the next step is probably the passport request.

Hi Friends,

Got my PER yesterday, i have below questions:

1) What are the next step and how much time will it take ?
2) Getting PER means that i'am satisfying the points criteria? As i was bit nervous for my points as it was 67 ?
3) My visa office is NDVO, by when can i expect MR etc ?
4) Are there any chances of file getting rejected beyond this point ?

Congrats. Yes you made the pass mark. Yes you can still be rejected for security, criminal or medical reasons or if your local visa office is not convinced you can establish yourself economically in Canada. That last reason is rare.

You should take the appointment on Passport Deptt. website. Charges are around Rs. 508 (Rs. 500 for PCC & rest are Payment Gateway transaction charges).

If your passport was issue or renewed within 1 year of your Date of Appointment for PCC, they will issue PCC immediately though if its over 1 year, they will issue PCC after Police verification which might take 2-3 weeks depending on how soon Police Deptt. does verification & reports it back to Passport office.

Has anyone got PCC in India from Delhi? did you get it from local police station?
How much time did it take?

I am now filling the forms . I have few doubts. Pls help me in clearing the below doubts for "Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008]"

1. Have you received your Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)? -- They have told to give CSQ if I select 'Yes' and the date when I applied for CSQ if select 'NO'. First of all I dont know what this is , How to fill this field
2. Personal details que 2 –Have you ever used Nickname –- do we need to mention the nickname , that we use in to call in our home? But the nickname is not official. Pls advice
3. I dont have UCI, so should we leave it blank or mark as ‘NA'
4. For current country of residence –- I am citizen of India. Living here since my birth.do we need to mention the from & to dates?
5. Previous countries of residence –- I haven't stayed in anyother country. so should we give NA or leave it blank?
6. Have you been previously been married –- Not previously married. So should we give NA if we select ‘No'?
7. All correspondence will go to this address unless you indicate your email address –- What does this mean?
8. I don't have a fax , what to mention in that
9. NATIONAL IDENTITY DOC – PA AND SPOUSE –- What NID shall we show in this. I am from india. what to mention in doc number, country of issue, issue date and expiry date?
10. CURRENT OCCUPATION ? My current designation is network consulting engineer. Should I mention this or should I mention the designation as per the NOC code
11. Intended occupation? My current designation is network consulting engineer & I would like to work as same. Should I mention this or should I mention the designation as per the NOC code
12. Under dependent's section –- what to fill under ‘dependant type'
