[size=9pt] Well, your choice seems to be between 3rd best and 2nd best for Sydney, NS area deliveries so go for the latter. :P

Why are you saying that UPS is the best? I'm just curious. :-) I've read about apps via DHL which took 6-7 days before arriving at NS. I've used FedEx before for my QSW app and it reached Quebec in 3 days. What's special with UPS? :-)

What can I declare as a Proof of Funds ?

Acceptable proof of funds are:

bank accounts in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner;
cash-able investments in your name or the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner;
cash-able fixed deposits in your name of the name of your accompanying spouse/common-law partner.

Not acceptable are:

bank accounts in someone else's name;
bank accounts which are joint in your name and someone else (other than your accompanying spouse/common-law partner);
bank accounts in the name of your spouse who is not accompanying you to Canada ;
property valuations;
vehicle valuations;
jewellery valuations.
In short anything is that is volatile (bonds, shares) or that cannot be easily transferred (liquidated) cannot be used as proof of funds.

Note: This is taken from an official email from the New Delhi Visa Office, that was shared by a forum member

Thanks for replying...

Is there any format available for writing Settlement funds summary ?

hello experts,

anyone here has applied for Open work permit and FSW simultaneously ?

Is there any rejections for PR visa when you are already in canada by work permit ?

Experts please suggest the possibilities.

I read the guidelines from CIC
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/dual.asp
and they have mentioned about refusals

Please give your valuable inputs.

As per my experience from Bangladesh, FedEx is the best....:D

DHL is the worst (both in terms of time and money....)

[size=9pt] Hi Bosschips, Please read 2-3 pages pre and post this page I have posted and you will see many people vouching for UPS and the reasons shared. Enjoy! :)

Reaching Quebec or Florida versus reaching one corner of Canada i.e. Sydney, NS is entirely different thing in this business. To reach CIC they have to drive by road for 0.5 to 1 day. It is summed up very well in these pages by one guy (Kaneddarescueme) who seems like an expert. I have experience of using DHL 3 times and UPS once so I too know from first hand experience lol ;)

Thank you @Oscar7 for the link and the detailed breakdown of what's what. I'll follow the trend and use UPS. The only problem here in the Philippines is that it isn't that popular compared to FedEx or DHL which are everywhere. I've googled it and only 3 branches show up within my vicinity. Oh well, might as well do the travelling for them if it will be easy on my application. ;D

hi,
Does having UCI no. makes a difference in application processing?

Nope. It's Unique Client Identifier and doesnt have any bearing on application processing.

Waiting........Waiting........

I would agree that DHL services are not good based on my experience. I chased these guys over phone here and got in touch with their India office and escalated that packet was lying for a day unattended. Only after escalating and following up very closely with them, the packet was delivered finally. In all, it took 5 days for the packet to arrive at NS. Please avoid DHL if you can!
