But not for charging. Nobody past May 14 has reported a charge.

What difference does that make? their apps were opened and checked.

Nobody really wants to discuss it, my posts are getting ignored... But still, I am wondering - how on Earth those two guys got to receive their packages back? If they receive their package back by snail mail on August 12, it means the package must have been opened by CIO on the beginning of July tops... I don't get it. Maybe they had consultants who lied to them and actually never even sent their applications to CIO? Maybe those guys were not from NOC stream or not from FSW at all - just confused threads or something? I don't get it.

Another quick question:

"You will receive points for the number of years of full-time paid work (or the equivalent in part-time paid work) you have obtained within the last ten years. Full-time means at least 30 hours of paid work in one week."

You only get points for years of work related to the NOC you are applying or other stuff you have done as well?
full time means exactly 37 hours of work a week although the standard full time in north America is 40hrs/week :D :D :D

[size=9pt] Hi Snedden, Good luck with your application. No need for cover letter unless some critical explaining is needed for the applicant's situation and no need of any point table. Check & re-check before sending and have 2 independent reviewers check it as well, end to end. Good luck! :)

Thanks Oscar!

Are company payment splips necessary to provide proof that I have been working in my occupation or does the reference letter suffice?
yes indeed!!! salary slips latest 3 min- max 6 or the best is salary certificate for each year like he was drawing XXXXXXXXX per month form a to b :D

[size=9pt] Hi, It is not mandatory - reference letter suffices. However my opinion is that these additional supporting things help later on in not needing one's background check and / or interviews at that stage of the process, so application processing might happen faster with a stronger package sent upfront. Just my thought! Plus if I have pay slips I would be more than happy to share it with them as they have listed it under additional supporting document anyway. But one definitely doesn't need a pay slip to get a PER or to get through with the entire PR process. Cheers! :)

you sure??? boss I heard yyou need one of the things for sure!!!

Hello guys.

Any report of a successfull case where a letter written by The applicant was sent instead a company reference letter.

Hello all,

I had sent me application on 10th June from London, UK and CIC received it on 15th June 2014. So far I have not received any response from them and my CC has not been charged yet.

Does anyone how to follow-up on my case? What is the best way to contact CIC?

Thanks!

[size=9pt] Hi, You don't need to follow up just yet. Sit tight for 1.5 to 2 months as they are reviewing May 14th application now and will take time to get to Jun 15th. No need to disturb them since you sent file later and your turn is far away. Hope that helps! Good luck! :)

Thanks Oscar for your reply. It seems a long wait for me then (already been 2 months now).

Do they update which applications are they reviewing (by dates received) on CIC website or are you estimating from people posting on this forum.

Appreciate your help.
