How much chances are there for a positive decision on visa issuing after a successful PER

Very strong chance. If medicals, PCCs and security checks do not show any problem and any verification the VO does checks out, you will be good to go.

Do you think Apps by NOC/Cap Estimates sheet in the SS fairly accurate? None of the NOC sub-caps reached for anyone sending in an application now? I suppose the overall number of applications CIC is receiving is quite modest. At this rate, nowhere near 25,000 by 1 April 2015.

They are 100% accurate, but they are outdated. They represent PERs issued to applicants whose applications arrived May 7, possibly May 8.

Last year the cap got filled on August 21, while the last app to be charged was from May 30th. Assuming we have double no. of applications which is 1000 for this year, seeing the current rate lets say it gets filled till 500-520 for end of may applications. There is a sudden decrease in apps going towards june and july, lets say each of these month even half of the no. of may gets filled and little bit lower going towards july, we are at 510 + 225+180. We stand at around 910 apps, thus its just a touch and go scenario :D.

I think with express entry in for next year I will have a lot more chances if i decide to be persistent in this canadian PR application :D
The cap last year was only 300 versus 1000 this year. The number of applications after mid-May is tapering off- rapidly in June and July. I think you will be within the cap this year. This SS does seem to represent 30% of the applications, especially for a tech NOC like 2174. Dont' you think?

Man this is so frustrating, I had applied for this stupid FSWP last year on time but it was declined due to incomplete docs ( I sent a copy of WES report instead of the original one). Now I sent all the documents but sent it on August 12, so got late!. This stupid residency issues are taking a toll on me. I am stuck with wait in my green card process for years in US and now here go my hopes for a canadian PR :|. Sometimes it feels if I should go back to India and live happily :P

How do you know august 12 is late? Hope for the best.

[size=9pt] Where are you based at? Those ba$tards charge a lot LOL. Any local lawyer in India or wherever you are at can help. Tell me where you live and I will try suggesting something mate!

Are you joking? The issue is not one of Indian law it is one of Canadian law. His situation is unique and potentially very serious. He needs a Canadian lawyer.

Well yes that's true that the apps are going down rapidly in june and july but its hard to say if this will go till August. If what you are estimating is true then nothing like it! :D. Also, I also have an option of transferring to Vancouver from my current company which i have been contemplating and then I would get a PR but that would mean I would have to let go of my green card. Vicious circle it is ;D

Friends,
My NOC is 2133 (Electrical and Electronic Engineers) and I can apply in October only because only then I will get 11 points for experience making my total points 68. Do you think the cap will last by then ?

I have a different address on the passport then the current residence address in india. But both r in same city. I am currently residing in uae but my parents are in India at that new address. Will this be a problem? Should i mention the address of the passport or of the current residence in india.

Yes I would use that and explain the situation very carefully to them and see what they say. That's the best you can do.

I will do so.

[size=9pt] If you are lucky and did your application well you might get in this time itself. Else as rightly said persistence is the key. Several guys are trying 2nd or 3rd time here (especially because of the small 300 number last time around) Good luck! :)

So true...btw are in the same boat as me?...gc and canadian PR ? ;D

Hi friends!

I am going to pay for my application using demand draft. The amount in my case is 1250 CAD (550 for me, 550 for my wife and 150 for our child). The question is - must I additionally include 13% canadian tax to this money amount? When I applied to WES, the tax was included...

Thank you!

Hello guys,
Finally the good news is here. Got the PER email just now.

Few pointers.....i was stuck with WES duplicate report. Thats why i guess there was a delay. So, anyone who gets the email for duplicate report, please dont worry, and order another online. It takes only 5 minutes.

Secondly, the DD date shown in the mail is exactly a week before the bank declared. Therefore, our take home is that if some ones dd is not cleared you need not worry as banks will take atleast a weeks time to display in their systems.

Thirdly, i was fortunate to have people in the forum as well in my friend circle and in particular one of my cousin to guide me to the fact that sending the complete documentation is of utmost importance. So, please people send complete documentation.

Fourthly, please make extensive use of cover letters. They play a big role.

Fifth, please take car of the experience letters. They should highlight what CIC wants to read.

Sixth, use as many annexures as you want if space is less.

Seventh, take advice of our forumites wherever you ar stuck.

Eighth, have fun(this is the only thing i missed out for last three months:-))

Special thanks to ashif for starting this thread, oscar for such patient answering of queries, century for positivity, tknova for the technical knowhow, and all people who i might have missed, but who all are ready to help at any given time of the day.

This forum is null without all of you.

Shout out to binuky, vinisha and neha who were my partners in the wes report ordering. Thanks for answering my questions.

Im a 7th may applicant in noc 0911. Please dont hesitate to ask mr any questions. I will try my level best to guide my fellow members with whatever little info i have.

God is kind, will surely sail all of us through.

Thanks, and look forward to the next steps.
