I disagree. The number of complete applications counted towards the 1,000 sub-cap indicates the number of applications checked for "completeness" and charged; not PERs issued which is the second stage of assessing against the FSW selection criteria. So, the CIC update should be up to around 13 May.

What is your basis for saying so?

I agree the wording on the site states that the numbers are of "complete" applications. However they only update the cap page every time they sent a PER flood. Also, including apps in the cap before PER means that some NER apps will count against the cap. I guess that could be the way they do it but in that case that means they are going to lose maybe 5-10% of the number of people they could admit.

But then these modifications will not be read by the Barcode scanner. Only if CIC manually reads the form will your changes be of use.

They read it. I also included an annexure explaining why I had to hand-write certain items and explaining a few other items that couldn't be accurately filled in due to character type restrictions or space limitations. If you include an annexure they will read it.

What is the current average number of days to get PCC/Medical Request from CPC-Ottawa after getting PER email?
It was ranging from 10 days to a month. I am not sure about current time frame.

Do we get both PCC, & Medical request together? (Please any one who already got it in 2014, answer this doubt). Thank you!
PCC - They only request PCC if you name search comes positive. If it comes negative they wont request PCC from you.
Sometimes they senD PCC, MR and RPRF together, Sometimes PCC & MR, & sometimes MR. No fixed pattern.

Thanks Goku, this is the first time I heard that PCC is issued only if we get positive for criminal records check (like if there is any incident). I was thinking that PCC are mandatory irrespective of their background check.

Any other thoughts?

I thought the same as you: that they always ask for the PCC again... If not, better, so will be quicker!

I disagree with what you are saying. CAP update is based on PER not CC/DD Charge.

We think so, but we don't know that for sure. It is our conclusion based on the evidence available. Only CIC knows for sure.

Noone can tell for sure you'll be capped out. According to this SS, 290 applications with 815 worldwide estimated thus far. Why do you think the cap will have reached by 12 August?

Good day everyone. I have some questions here. I SUBMITED MY credentials i.e HND nd PGD certificate including all my neccessary credentials from my school too for ICAS verification. but the problem i am having is that my WAEC secondary school was not included since it was one of my requirement (due to the fact that each country have their special requirements). The question is would i still get my maximum points though i have my hnd and pgd submited.? would that have any verification issue or oints gained?

2ndly at what moment do verification of Proof of Fund takes place/ is it after the application is recieved and debited for CC OR DD, OR PRECISELY when please?

That is why they say somewhere that CIC does not give due importance to the order of time when the application is received in a day, because it can become more complicated that way. What if 35 couriers came by UPS, how will they sequentially give preference to one and not to the other from the same bunch / delivery? To keep themselves safe they made this criteria, and which is fair. It makes sense!

Not only that, nobody can control which courier will deliver earliest on any given day.

I suppose on the day the cap was reached they said ok out of these XX applications we can only process YY of them, so they used some random method to determine which ones and the others got returned.

I have one point shortage to reach minimum 67 passing score. However, in next october'14 my job experience will be six years which help me to add more two points and thus exceed the passing score. However, can i apply immediately before starting the month of October. Or I have to wait upto the month of October to apply under FSW. Need urgent suggestion.

You need to have sufficient points as of the date your application was received. If it will be 6 years on October 1, make sure your application is not received until October 1. And so on.

I am wondering to know again the points awarded for education. My MSc is in 'Electronics Engineering and has been assessed by WES as Canadian's equivalent. Thus I should get 23 points, I thought. However, an immigration consultant is insisting that 23 points is only for the degree program on Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatry, Optometry, Law, Chiropractic Medicine, or Pharmacy. Your consultant is an idiot and you should fire him. The table is very clear. Just read the Guide. Anything assessed as equivalent to a Canadian masters scores 23 points.

Last year the cap got filled on August 21, while the last app to be charged was from May 30th. Assuming we have double no. of applications which is 1000 for this year, seeing the current rate lets say it gets filled till 500-520 for end of may applications. There is a sudden decrease in apps going towards june and july, lets say each of these month even half of the no. of may gets filled and little bit lower going towards july, we are at 510 + 225+180. We stand at around 910 apps, thus its just a touch and go scenario .

I think with express entry in for next year I will have a lot more chances if i decide to be persistent in this canadian PR application

Hi

I have applied for noc 2173 and my application is received on june 16 th.But after 2 weeks of applying my cc got hacked by some online shopping scam and my bank provided new credit card .Initially I sent a mail to CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca explaining this situation and afterwards I called their customer care centre and one agent told me to send my new cc details via mail and via courier.I mailed them (CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca) new cc details on july 2nd and on same day I send them new payment form attached with a covering letter.Yesterday I got a reply from them for the first mail I sent on june 30 th mail is as follows
