got it ! the issue is on our usa visa expiry is april 2015 and as a matter of fact we know it will be extended further for 3 years. but how to document the fact and let CIO know is my concern

hope i am not risking the entire application process opting for ottawa

I have the same issue with MExico. I'm Brazilian, living here for the last 4 years and indicated Mexico City for VO. In Mexico though the visa issue is done every year and not for the whole time you will be living here. So mine for example is expiring next September - 30 days from today...and that's the doc I sent. My lawyers said it was ok. So I don't think you should worry

I was not told to provide affidavit by my consultant.
