This is my first post and I am glad that I came to know about this forum as the members have done a wonderful work by helping each other.

I am interested in FSWP 2014. Is it worth it if I start the process this late? I hope to be able to complete WES, IELTS and make other documents ready by mid October 2014. My profile is below -

NOC - 1111
Age - 32
Education - ACCA member + BSc Degree (Oxford Brookes University, UK)
Experience - 5 years
IELTS - 7.5 (in each module but academic)

Hello All,

I spent the whole night yestrday reading this forum. Everyone here is really helpful and this place has answered a lot of my questions, except one:

The cic website states that we need reference letters from employers in the last 10 years. I will be applying under NOC 3142 (will update the SS) and my relevant job experience is only in my current role, for the last 1.5 years. All my previous experience was working in NHS as a HCA which does not help as it was not a full time role.
My question is :
Is it necessary to get reference letters from all employers in the last 10 years even if I am planning to claim points only for the last 1.5 years of work experience?

Secondly, going by last years spreadsheet, application under 3142 sent after 22 August 2013 were returned due to CAP. I might end up sending my application towards the end of sept as i m still waiting for eca and ielts (test on 16 aug). What are my chances of making the CAP?

Any help here will be appreciated.

For ur ques:

1. Yes u will need to provide all the employment ....But if dont required the points and there is difficulties to get docs from prev employment then u may avoid those docs... In that case submit all the docs that is on ur hands like appointment letter/payslips/promotion letters etc.

2. Dont worry about the CAP now....This yr this is 1000 not 300 and still this is a cold NOC since it was opened on last year...

Proceed to Prepare urself bro....

Send reference letter for only relevant experience for which you get points. So 1.5 Yrs exp related to applied NOC is good.

For cap limit you can check SS where cap estimated date per NOC is calculated.

sending Two DIFFERENT Letters for SAME Employment would be suicidal ... IMO

Let me try to explain why I am so aprehensive about this. And, in order to do that, let me explain things how they are. I have over 8 years of work experience though only my last job's responsibilities match any NOC currently being accepted this year. In fact, it matches 2 NOCs.

The name of my job within my company would be translated to "Logistics Coordinator, however, what I do is actually what a "Purchasing Manager" and a "Property administrator" do.

My employer has already wrote me a reference letter containing everything I do within the company (so responsibilities from both NOCs are in this reference letter).

Since I intend to apply to 2 NOCs, some people are suggesting that I have my employer split the reference letter into 2 different ones. One containing what is related to Purchasing manager and the other what is related to Property administrator.

I have questions when it comes to that as, in my mind, it could sound weird to CIC. You see, what if the same analyst that analyses one application gets to analyse the other one. He will hold 2 reference letters in his hand written by the same employer, about the same person (me), with the same job name (Logistics Coordinator) but with different job responsibilities... wouldnt that sound strange to you guys? I mean, wouldn't it be better to have everything in the same letter and the person analyzing it would only be like "Ok, what this guy does fit the NOCs description de is applying to, but I can see he does a lot more as well". Wouldnt that be better than splitting the responsibilities into 2 letters?

when i compared my reference letters, 3 sentences are exactly same in roles in 2 of my reference letters (it happened because my other manager read the roles of my previous employer when he was preparing ref. letter)

will that make any problem or shall i take new one from manager

Brother, issuance of PER is not sequential to the payment charged date. Even applicant whose fees was encashed on 4th July received PER.

Note that there is only 50% of 7th May received PER and 50% is yet to receive. If you believe, 50% of applicants will not receive PER after charging, then there is issue with you . So rather than being anxious get thrilled for the good news.

Only anxious when you will see there is only 4/5 applicants left of getting PER after charging. Another way is to wait Last PER date + 7 days: if it is over, it is red alert.

So get thrilled and not anxious. Game is at the middle stage only.
