I hope my personal experience might help. The reference letters that I put in for my application could have been used for 2 Nocs, that is 1112 and 1111. I had to make a decision and choose which of those Nocs was best met by my references. I then settled for Noc 1111. I just received my Per last week. So I can safely say it worked for me.

Thanks for sharing your experience. But help me understand one thing, did you have 1 reference letter that could have been used for 2 different nocs or more than one reference letters that could do the same? The reason I am asking is because all my duties are in the same reference letter where my employer states everything I do. This is the reference letter I intend to use for both applications. I do have other reference letters to add but the duties described in them have nothing to do with the NOCs I will be applying for.

I appreciate the reply but doesn't that sound wrong? I mean, if anyone compares the 2 applications, they will ask why does the same employee say I my duty is to do something in one letter and in the other letter something completely different. I don't know, for some reason it sounds wrong... really would like more feedback on the matter.

It is not wrong per se. If I teach and do research at a university for instance, then I can always get two letters, one stating only my teaching duties and the other stating only my research duties. What's wrong in that ?

Even the checklist states that one must mention all positions one held during an employment, and the duties per position.

Lastly, if both of your intended NOCs are of equal standing with regards to CAP, then you can also consider focusing on only one of them. Especially if this issue is putting doubts in your mind.

Apply quickly, for an application with single NOC in CIC's hand is better than two NOC applications sitting in your house. :)

It has already started. 2 of them reported for PER on Friday. Rest will get it next week.

All the best !!!!

when i compared my reference letters, 3 sentences are exactly same in roles in 2 of my reference letters (it happened because my other manager read the roles of my previous employer when he was preparing ref. letter)

will that make any problem or shall i take new one from manager

plz suggest

Generic application - current country of residence

what does it mean by - The end date of your immigration status in your current country of residence

what date should i keep here

Guys... I may be wrong, but I get a strange feeling that the persons who've recieved a PER email from CIC, will ultimately be put in the positive pool of applications in the Express Entry program starting 1 Jan 2015. I think they're (CIC) are making a list of all such applications who could potentially be given a PR and use the same as an input for the Express Entry program in addition to the fresh applications that they're going to receive next year under the same.

./Thoughts ?

The expiry date of your visa, which is nothing but the end date of your immigration status.
