I called CIO. They said that they don't entertain case specific queries. The lady advised me to shoot a mail which I did. Have attached my IELTS TRF and Proof of Delivery in the mail.

Another concern is that I haven't yet received my application back. CIC takes 40 days to respond to emails. If I waited for my application, I would have lost precious days. Even if CIC responds in another 15-20 days, I should have my file back by then.

Regarding IELTS, yeah, I have taken the closest date available. The fear is that 2171 might get filled up before I am able to repack and resend my application.

I do not want to fight with CIC. All I want from them is that my application is considered within the cap whenever it reaches them.

They should increase the cap for NOC 2171 to 1001 and accept my application whenever it reaches or
They should decrease the cap for NOC 2171 to 999 and accept my application whenever it reaches. :D

I will advice you to sit for IELTS as soon as possible and don't wait for arbitration result. Since you didn't use a lawyer they will most likely ignore your case. Also it is unlikely to fill up 2171 too quickly. Because for IT NOC you can assume most of the IT guys are aware of the spreadsheet by now and we get sort of accurate figures from the spread sheet. Look how 2174 is still increasing close to 300 mark. So you have plenty of time to resubmit the application. And you will also need your IELTS for the Express entry too.

I have already applied FSW category and got DD charged. I have taken my new passport recently. My question is should I apply for PCC with new passport or with old passport that I have submitted to CIC?

you will only able to get PCC on NEW and valid Passport

b'coz old passport is stamped with CANCELLED.

Re: PCC issue

Dear Friends,

my application reached LVO and it didn't include the PCC. my ecas status is in process "2.We started processing your application on July 24, 2014."

i received an email from LVO requesting to provide the PCC on july 25 2014.

now the question is, is this normal practice to receive the request to provide the PCC before the request of the medical test? ::)

help needed.

unfortunately i wrote myself as a applicant and my wife as spouse in her IMM5406 form. is it going to be a huge problem.? can somebody share its consequence.?

shouldn't be a problem. a friend of mine who had applied in 2010 did the same and he is currently in Brampton.

(The post got buried without getting comments. Posting this again one more time, hopefully last. )

First for all, congratulations to all who have gotten their payments charged and/or received PER email, or moved further up the ladder.

Feel sorry for those whose applications have been returned, but they can always try again with modifications as needed.

All the best to those who have yet to apply, like myself.

Thanks century for this info...+1... there was a debate on why he was refused and many of them was worried (including me) as many of them sent reference letter where FULL TIME was not mentioned. Now we know the actual reason and no wonder that his file was rejected. However best of luck to him for his next try..i hope that he will send his files ASAP again.

Just for everybody's information on GTiwana's case:

GTIWANA HAS SENT PHOTOCOPY OF WES AND NOTHING TO RELATE WITH JD OR MISSING OF WORD "FULL-TIME" - SO THE REJECTION.

He personally informed me about it once he got his package back from his relative in Canada to his home address at India.

You got nothing to worry about, your package is well received (as confirmed by you). The postage details (as above) is for people who sent their applications through regular post mail.

The reference letter issued to me by my employers were complete except for my duties and resposibilties was not written on it. So they just gave me copies of my work duties and responsibilties in each position i handled in a separate sheet to attach to my refrence letter written in company's letter head complete with contact numbers and signatures of my immediate supervisors and heads. An original copy was issued to me with dry seal and im willing to submit it if ask by cic though what im going to send is just a photocopy because thats what they are asking now just a copy. That job description was never self proclaimed and attested but rather that of the company. U think it will be accepted by cic or i still need to make a cover letter to explain?

My wife is a principal applicant. My birth certificate has my father's name only from parents. Is that acceptable? Thanks

For writing - we were given an option of Pen or Pencil.
Yes but do take with you a good pen and pencil with sharpner coz the pen and pencil they provide is not of good quality and u will be awarded points for legibility ...
Good Luck !!!
