Is this for PR? or are you talking about visitor's visa?

Edit: Nevermind, just checked the spreadsheet with your edit. In that case, congratulations!! This is a GREAT news for everybody else too.

Yes, for PR. The embassy stamps a 1 entrance visa to land in Canada. In addition there is the Landing letter to make the PR effective on landing day.

Thanks. I was confused since I read some stuff on noc being mandatory for LMO. Do employers need an LMO to hire candidates with PR?

No LMO required for PR holders.

Hi All,
After 10+ years in IT, I have worked in a variety of roles and can fit into 2171, 2173 and 2174. If I apply under 2171, and get the PR, will it limit my chances of finding a job under 2174 later? I mean, is the noc hard coded to your PR or is there some mechanism to force you only into 2171 jobs? Or are there any legal consequence of switching nocs later? Most service companies dont have well defined roles and a typical senior architect's role will span all 3 noc.

I am planning to submit by Aug 5th. Since 2174 is hot, I feel 2171 gives me the best chance.

Thanks

Nope. Once you are PR you can go work at McDonald's if you want. No strings attached.

Nothing more exiting than receiving an email asking for ours passports to stamp our 1 entrance visa!! It happened on thursday

This way was really short. Ours lawyers sent on ours documents the 2nd of may. In 2 months 28 days, we got the the final answers and hopefully we are landing soon. Ours passports are in their way to the embassy. Too many decisions to take now. CANADA THE COUNTRY OF CAN DO PEOPLE.

Keep fighting your your dreams people!!! My new life is about to begin!!!

Congrats!

No, if you are PR you can work in Canada with no restrictions or additional requirements at all.

Given name : Not Applicable
Surname: ANU JOHN

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=014&t=4

If you do not have a surname on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field, write “not applicable” or “N/A” in the given name field.

When I write not applicable in given name field, the top most part of the form shows name as "not applicable B. " :o :o :o

Yes, it is ok, as long as you get a minimum of 6 bands in each of the modules.

[size=9pt] LOL cases from North America are moving very fast, we all know that. Like the ones in Canada, USA or Mexico and this one is from Mexico so it is got to be fast if one applied early enough. :)

Yep. ..and CPC-OTTAWA are whizzing through the applications too especially the early ones. ..we had a case of "Decision Made" already so passport request also very close. ..
