Congrats to all those lucky ones who received PER this week!

Guyz, quick question. If a person has two IELTS certificates, say, W5 R7 L8 S7 and W6 R7 L7.5 S5.5 - can this person apply with both those certificates? (For me, it is obvious that no, they can't... however, the question has aroused whether it's possible - does anyone know of rejections or any evidence?) Thanks!

If the person is principal applicant then none of ielts will work bcz he/she required to score 6 bands in each module....

Hi,

In case someone applied with 67 point without spouse IELTS, and after they checked his application, unluckily if due to some reason CIC calculated point less then 67, say they consider 65 points due to missing JD of any missing reference letter. Then definitely they will send application back.

Now if applicant wants to apply again immediately after he collect returned packet then is it possible for him to ADD his spouse IELTS score which he has with him now. So that he got 65 + 5 points.

Is it possible to reapply with spouse IELTS points.

answer to your question is YES and make sure you check the checklist once again for the docs required.

NOTE: Some rejected applicants reported documents missing from their returned application specially WES

You are correct but if this is for 2ndary applicant, any score above 5 in all of the four modules will provide 5 points of adaptability to the primary applicant

I can understand the case of CPC Ottawa, as no background check is required. How come Mexico does not go for BG check in Venezuela. Though I am happy at least some VOs are working.
BTW Oscar bro, you seems to be on different platform today. Is it weekend effect or something else? ;D

Called CIC 3 times and got lucky the 3rd time.

Reason for rejection is: Language Test Results had expired

My IELTS was due to expire on 25th of May 2014 and my application reached CIC on 9th of May 2014. Then where is the issue. The document checklist states:

Note: Language test results must not be older than two years on date of receipt at CIO.

WTF just happened?

Is there a way I can question CIC ? Sue them for harassment ?

PS - I have rechecked, my IELTS was due to expire on 25th May 2014 only

Cant we something in this case? by using any Canadian lawyer or attorney

Nothing more exiting than receiving an email asking for ours passports to stamp our 1 entrance visa!! It happened on thursday

This way was really short. Ours lawyers sent on ours documents the 2nd of may. In 2 months 28 days, we got the the final answers and hopefully we are landing soon. Ours passports are in their way to the embassy. Too many decisions to take now. CANADA THE COUNTRY OF CAN DO PEOPLE.

Keep fighting your your dreams people!!! My new life is about to begin!!!

Dear friends ,
I am following this thread for quite some time. My file reached CIC on 23rd may.. so i am just keeping quite till now as i know i am in line .. but after reading some post i am getting worried.. following are the cause of my worry

1) IELTS expires on 1st Sep 2014....Most likely my file will not open before that date .. I hired a consultant but it seems like he too didn't expect this...Next available date for IELTS is 20th Sep 2014 so my file will go again in 1st week in OCt 2014...its very demoralizing and depressing...

2) MY POF were Bank FDs,, which already expired in JULY but were on auto renewal mode... still the photocopies sent to CIC on may 23rd show expiry in JULY 2014...MY agent still says this will not make diffrence.....but still I am worried . and spending sleepless nights.. please help what should I do I am very much de-moralized and depressed

I find it a little weird that none of your documents (this includes ALL your past employers) have any mention of it, more so the ref. letters.

Unless you want to live on the edge, I would suggest you arrange for a document (or revised ref. letters) that states you are a full-time employee or states your working hours.

Worst case - get someone (a colleague or a senior) from your present/past organizations to draft a letter attesting to the fact that you were a full-time employee. Don't forget to get their Company Card / Copy of their employee ID attached with the letter.

Hi Everyone... I am filling Background Declaration form.. In my passport, I have my Fathers Name as 'Vijay Kumar' but my father in his own passport have 'Vijay Kumar Ghai'.
What should I fill in for my own form?

CONFUSED, PLZ help me out!!

use what's written in your passport or your birth certificate.

NOTE both father's name spelling must be same.

Honestly I think you're stretching it a bit. Your file should (statistically) be picked up before September.

What happens when FDs expire ? They are liquidated into a savings account as a bank transfer or cheque/draft deposit right ? Its not that the money turns to coal (so to say). So how is this an issue? When you presented your POF - it was in the form of an FD and was valid during the time of application. Ceterus paribus: If they get transferred into a different form at some-point in the future - then VO asks for POF again and you show the POF (savings a/c etc) again.
