@ Oscar/Seniors,

I heard a news that the fixed deposit amount what we have shown to CIO while filling the application, the same should be carried in the savings format while travelling to canada. There will be a cross check for the same in airport while we land in canada. How far it is true?
@ Anil,

They will ask you to show funds at port of entry. It could be in form of traveller's cheques, saving certificates, some cash (max 10k).

Please correct me if I am wrong ---> I'm adding my wife as a dependent and I don't require to pay her for embassy fees(550$) but still I get points (5) if she have CLB Level 4 in ielts?

Can I show the flat (property) as a proof of fund which is registered on my name ?

Thanks

@ Jpn,

Thanks for your reply. so all together it should match the amount which we showed in the initial stage of application. Correct me if i am wrong...........

- If you have a spouse and/or dependant children, no matter whether they are or will accompany you to Canada or not, you still have to pay their part of the application fees in full. Therefore - you pay CAD 550 + CAD 550 for yourself and your spouse (assuming there is no child).

- Property can be shown as 'Assets' but not as Settlement funds. At least not most of the VOs recognize it as settlement funds. In some cases LVO has been known to recognize property as Settlement funds.

No, bro. if you don't pay, you won't get 5 points. Or even if you pay and she doesn't accompany you to Canada, you won't get 5 points. Your spouse should accompany you to make you eligible to claim adaptability points. Read the "guide 7000 - Adaptability points"
You cannot show property as proof of fund. However, you can declare it in assets.

"Your accompanying spouse or common-law partner’s level of language proficiency in either English or French is at the CLB 4 level or higher in all four language abilities (speaking, listening, reading and writing)."

I want to check my ECAS status, I am 9th May applicant, DD charged.
I read in this forum that one can do this by providing last year UCI but I am not able to do so. I dint provide my last year UCI while filing application this year.
Assuming that CIC stores my UCI anyways and checking E-CAS status using last year UCI but unable to do so.
Any other method to check or call CIC
Can someone reply on it? or provide some CIC contact number where I can ask for my UCI.
Any one faced such situation?

@ nraju2174,

Your lucky man. Cic has shared with uci no over phone. Lot of people from forum called cic & requested for info. But cio don't provide. Any trick u played :)
nothing Bro just asked cutomer Care lady and she asked me some details and gave UCI to me.
However I am not able to check either my DD was charged or not. Because my Agent didn't give me any info of dd. Trying to check status in ECAs but no update just It says we are not able to recognise you.
Have to wait and see for the next week
