Citizenship and Immigration Minister Announces CAN+ Program in India

"CAN+ is open to Indian nationals who have visited Canada or the United States within the last 10 years. These visitors will receive accelerated processing, allowing for Visa officers to focus on other cases. This will result in more efficient overall processing times for Indian travellers. "

This is not relevant for us guys... Its for visitor/tourist visa... We are here to become permanent resident not just to visit Canada... ;D ;D ;D

Hi Seniors,

Just wanted to check if its mandatory to submit birth certificate for my spouse.. would any alternate document be sufficient..will it be a cause of rejection?

I can quote my case here.

My wife does not have a birth certificate. But her 10th class certificate mentions both her father and mother's name.

So I got an affidavit done from my wife's side, attached notary attested 10th marksheet copy, and attached a cover letter from her behalf stating that her birth certificate is not available but shes attaching her 10th marksheet attested copy, which has her DOB, and parent's name.

Having parents name on 10th certificate helped us. Birth certificate or an education certificate with parents name on it is surely needed I think.

I Guess this is not applicable for permanent residential Visa. It is only applicable for visitor visa, tourist visa, business visa and all short term visa. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks Bro.. But i have already sent my application without spouse BC. wonderign if that will cause rejection? any thoughts?
In that case, lets hope that the date of birth in her passport page will be sufficient for CIC or they will overlook the omission. Best of luck :)

Nithya,

How did you receive the application?

Was it sent by courier or speedpost?

I know these are trivial questions for most people here but is important for someone who is expecting his app to return :(

Thanks,
Rohan.

On the contrary, you are quite right. It will help those interested in short visits before they receive PR visa :)

Hello Rajesh

2173 and 2174 are definitely hot NOCs. I can only assume that sending application for 2173 in coming days will be pure gamble, I may be wrong here.

I got the experience letters done from 2 previous companies and my current company in maybe about 90% similar format as expected by CIC.

If your company is refusing to give a letter, then maybe you can get a letter from your manager or supervisor on simple plain paper and attach his/her business card along with it.

Experts maybe be able to correct me or add to what I suggested.

Even I received my application last year via ordinary post only. But, that took 2 months.

This year, Nithya and GTiwana have received their applications pretty quickly. Guess there is a change in process by CIC. Hence the question.

Thanks,
Rohan.
