Though I have gone with CC payment option, but I did check with banks for DD

What HDFC told me was that validity is not mentioned on the DD so it depends on country the Validity they consider.

In India generally the validity considered is 3 months and in Canada it is 6 months.

This is what I was told by customer representative, you may check further on this

ICICI only.. they said 3 months

It is NOW 45 days since my CC was charged. Will I receive the PER today?

Don't know.. May be yes.... Am also in the same boat.. and all others too

upload the pic you want to show in your profile and then copy the html code....

It's not that easy mkshah! I don't think HTML code suitable for embedding in the left section of this forum would be readily available somewhere. To get all stuff I've got in there, one would need to bit of custom HTML development.

I have been trying to check my application status on CIC website by using my last year's UCI no, shows not able to identify. Can anyone please confirm whether I should put a "-" in the middle of the 8 digit UCI no.? Also is the last name case sensitive?

U will need to add '-' ....

And last name is not case sensitive.... u can write "aShiF" ...no issue...

14th May applicants are getting charged and 7th May applicant has started to get PER email....

Please don't quote anything unless you are 100% sure. This leads to lot of confusion and leaves the person asking the query in despair. There are several banks out there issuing DDs with SIX (6) month validity including ICICI, Axis and even HDFC. When you go to HDFC the very first response you get is "We only issue 3-month validity DDs" as per RBI guidelines. But you need to explain to them the need for a 6 month DD which they do issue after confirming with their back-end teams who are better equipped with knowledge.

Same applies to your comment also. Please don't comment unless you are 100% sure. All banks in India are driven by RBI rules. No individual bank can decide on the norms on their own. I got my DD thru State Bank of India and was clearly told that validity is 3 months.
Giving factual information is better than giving someone misleading information.

I am Shocked

On 16-7-2014, I have taken the DD from HDFC bank, by confirming all the details, they said the validity is 6 months.

Today I called customer care and told them all the details. The Customer care said me that the DD is valid for 3 months only !

I have not sent the application yet

What to do!

Shall I use ICICI CC
