Hii Girishd mine is also from hdfc and i talked to Mumbai office twice they said its only valid for 3 months..your bank told you that its valid for 6 month please tell..

I am 100% sure , that it is valid for 6 months . Moreover, I applied through a consultant and he only suggested to get it from HDFC bank because HDFC gives DDs with 6 months validity . So I did that .

CIC asked to provide 6-month validity. If it expires, it is their headache, not your.

BTW, currently it has not gone over 70 days. You got to have a vivid imagination to take it towards 180 days.

Just one question...Should the occupation exactly match with our qualification? For ex:, I am working in Purchasing dept:, but my qualification is BSc. Is it a problem?

As long as you got one year admission, it is OK. Still, if possible, you can try to get a letter that your work permit could be extended by one year after reviewing your contract.

Hi Friends! I am just in line to apply ....just waiting for PCC. Please resolve my queries:
1. I am 1972 born and have no D.O.B certificate. however I got a Not Found certificate from the authorities. Is it a sufficient proof or my HSC certificates are sufficient?
2. I have validated my application once,but now I want to change some info. Can I allowed to do so?
3. I had applied for FSWP in 2006, which was later returned by CIC due to change in law. Do I have to mention the UCI that was allotted to me at that time?
I hope I can get the reply from this well administered Forum.

1. Use 10th class certificate as BC. Additionally you can provide affidavit.
2. You are allowed as many times as you like.
3. Use 2006 UCI as it is issued only once against a client and remain same for life.

There are still May 6 and 7 people waiting for PER, so you may be waiting a few more weeks.

Interesting news... Reason's to believe CIC will move fast with FSW applications going forward. May be it will take maximum a year (Same like 2013) if not any quicker.

Why is this a reason to believe CIC will move fast with FSW applications? All this did was terminate long-backlogged applications under two other programs, like they did to the stale FSW applications a few years ago. Imagine waiting for years for action on your file and then hearing it is being returned without so much as a review. The article is a little bit scary, to me anyway.

Hi,

I have certain queries on the proof of funds and birth certificate as under:

1. I got married 6 months ago and am the primary applicant for immigration. Most of the available funds we have are currently in my husbands name, can we still use them as-is for proof of funds or we need to move them to a joint account in both our names?
2. We have mutual funds in addition to money in the bank, are investments like mutual funds acceptable as proof of funds?
3. My husband who will be a secondary applicant on my application does not have his birth certificate, he does however have his school leaving certificate and passport that show his date of birth. Is that sufficient documentation or what other documentation can we use in lieu of birth certificate?

Please help me with your earliest suggestions....thanks in anticipation.....
