Yes, it worked for me

CC charged yesterday for application received on 12th May NOC 2173. Job responsibilities match was around 70-80%. All the information asked like working hours, job responsibilities and all titles during job was covered in affidavit, reference letters. I also created one experience letter which had the information on all the job titles and job responsibilities. Also attached the promotion letters as it had the salary and title information. Following were the documents attached for work experience. Be very careful with job responsibilities as it should match across all the letters. It need not be copy paste but ensure its consistent.

• Affidavit for Work Experience
• Mail from HR stating individual's roles & responsibilities are not issued as bonafide certificate
• Experience Letter
• Salary Slips for last 3 months
• Appointment Letter
• Employment certificate
• Promotion Letters
• US L1 Visa Copies & petition copy
• Reference Letter from Supervisor & Colleague
• Income Tax return for last year
The important thing is the inclusion of a reference letter from a supervisor or senior colleague. Without it, the self reference would not work. Congrats :)

Absolutely okay? :o You forgot to state fixed deposit with who. If it's not jointly with spouse, it won't be accepted.

Hi,

I am applying under NOC-2173 and I am ready with all my papers and about to send the application.
Last week we got a new born, a baby girl (11th July) and as of now I have only her birth certificate.
Getting a passport for her will be time consuming and by that time the cap limit for 2173 would have reached.
1. Shall I include her name in the generic form and mark NO for passports. but include her in the POF and visa processing fees?
or
2. Not include her in any of the forms but write a covering letter stating the situation and attach the birth certificate and request CIC to permit me to produce her papers in the Local VO after getting the AOR
or
3. Suggest me a different approach please....

P.S : To get the passport for the baby, I need update the passport for my wife with my name(spouse),receive her passport, then apply for baby's passport. This will at least take 4 weeks from now.

Seniors please advice on this.

It is obvious the infant is too young to have obtained a passport at the time of your application. You will of course attach her birth certificate
or
2. Not include her in any of the forms but write a covering letter stating the situation and attach the birth certificate and request CIC to permit me to produce her papers in the Local VO after getting the AOR Not a good option
or

Hi, use option 1 above. By the time your file get's to your VO, you will be able to update relevant forms with the child passport details. All the best :)

Thanks for the response. Few things in response to your answers which are still confusing me:

It is mentioned by various people on the forum to fill supplementary information travel form by applicant and spouse both, but isn't it to be filled by only applicant as spouse information is asked in the same form? Answer by cjg1987 : Don't be silly. Various people on the forum has said and also on the checklist it is mentioned both of you must fill up this form separately.

When I read the guidelines or document checklist it says:

Supplementary Information: Your Travels (IMM 5562)
Who needs to fill out this application form?
This form must be completed by:
you, the principal applicant;
You must complete all sections including those for your spouse or common law partner (whether accompanying or not) and each dependent child over the age of 18 (whether accompanying or not). Where is it mentioned that spouse has to fill it separately? If you can quote it from any document given by CIC?

Schedule 3: Economic Classes-Federal Skilled Workers
Question 12: I am applying under NOC 1123 and my relevant designation is Marketing Coordinator in which I have worked for almost 4.5 years. Should I mention Marketing Coordinator here or is it necessary to mention one of the designations which are mentioned in the NOC Guide?

Question 12: In the duties section I will only list those jobs which are relevant to my NOC only or all jobs I have done previously? Answer by cjg1987 : All jobs

Guidelines Says:
b) Starting with your current occupation, list all of the occupations that you have had in the 10 years preceding the date of your application.
Note: List only occupations that fall in Skill Type 0, Skill Levels A or B of NOC 2011.

My question is what If certain jobs which I have done does not fall under the 50 occupations of NOC 2011 as I have to mention the NOC code for all those jobs as well?

1. You and your spouse needs to fill up the following forms separately only:

Background declaration
Additional family information

Travel form is NOT required to be filled up by your spouse.

2. Yes other than 50 eligible occupations you need to mention the NOC code for other jobs (Skill level O,A or B) as well.

3. Your designation does not need to be similar to the sample titles , matching duties is the main issue.
