Few things noteworthy about my app -

1. I sent additional documents which were received by Mike on May 24th. I forgot to fill my name in native language in my original app.

2. I used Employee Provident Fund as POF

3. I got a reference letter from my manager on the company letter head.

4. For the reference letter of my previous company I had used the NOC description from 2173 and 2174 merged the ones which are applicable to me and used the sentences as is. No change.

Try to get it from Indian Consulate. Check Indian Consulate website for forms. PCC is excluded for those are below 18.

Just trying to understand your better, you had sent your application on 9 May and then you had sent a package on May24 with some additional docs...... How did CIC link the 2 packages?????
The only way this can be done is if CIC had opened the packages received until May24th.

So does it mean CIC has checked all the packages receied until May24??

My understand for sure is wrong, but can someone help me get this?

My application was received on 4th July, 2014, even I forgot to fill the names in Native language in additional family information form. People on forum suggested me not to do anything.

Please suggest should I send this form again filling names in native language. if yes what all details you send with the form so that they can club your application with this new form. will be obliged for your help as you have already experienced this thing.

Bhavin5503: thanks for sharing about your case. It's surprising that your folder got returned within days, while mine has been with them for 2 months now, and stands a high chance for rejection due to the IELTS issue.

Harka007: no need to cut deeper into the wound, I was not trying to make a mockery of the system. When I heard in April that FSW was re-opening I rushed to register for new IELTS and traveled to another country for May 10th exam. Given that I only qualify for a mega-crowded NOC, the choices were:

1. wait to have the May 10th exam score sheet in my hand and take on the risk of the application arriving after the 1000 cap had been reached. (I didn't get the IELTS result in the mail until early July - it wasn't 3 weeks from the date of the exam, as they claim. Taking the exam in another country increases the risk of delays due to the fact that the score sheet letter has to make it through customs)

2. send application folder to CIC with all I had in early May - IELTS from Dec 2011, and proof that I was going to take another IELTS on May 10 2014.


I just chose option 2., given that in 2013 I got rejected due to cap filled. Looking back the best would have been to have arranged for a IELTS in December 2013, regardless of whether FSW would happen again or not. Oh well, one lives and learns.

That's not surprising at all. Applications are opened and evaluated in the order received. CIC is currently working on May 7, 8 and 9 applications. Yours arrived May 14.

Thank you very much Pipis Husband, for your reply. To be clear, he said not to include this in the Supplementary Info (Travel) form, but under "Addresses" in the Schedule A Form - is that correct?

Also, I live in Qatar and travel to India several times a year, sometimes just for the weekend to see my parents. In each such instance, he said I should show my Qatar address, followed by my India address, and again my Qatar address to show that I returned from the trip. So this will be a very very long list. I can do it, but is it really what CIC wants? The form instruction is "list all addresses where you have LIVED... in the past 10 years". But I'm just visiting my parents briefly, not living there!

Yes, he is correct. The duration of the trip/time spent also.

Hello forum members - Regarding travel information in the forms, I am getting confusing advice from my immigration lawyer (reputed firm), so please share your experience. He said travel to home country (India) needs to be disclosed under "Addresses" in the Schedule A Background Declaration Form. Would greatly appreciate any views / experiences / advice.

1) We do not yet have evidence that the additional docs were counted. This is because native language name is not a big deal any ways.

2) Regarding the job description we have found that it is actually checked in details after fee charged and before PER.

Hi All,

Am applying for FSW 2014. But am pretty late. Have sent my docs yest to WES for validation and have booked my IELTS on Aug 16. NOC Code - 2281.

If i write IELTS on Aug 16 , when will the scorecard come?
Also Please let me know If its possible to come within the cap of 1000 for NOC Code 2281 , If I send the application to Canada by Aug 30

If you sit IELTS on Aug 16 your application can probably make it in the first or second week of September.

2281 is neither not nor cold. You stand a good chance of being in the cap. But nobody knows. Apply ASAP.

Hey bud, this is how it works
When CIC receives our package, They open the package and then sort it out according to the date and put it at a place where all that day applications are received. When they open our package, if you are fortunate enough, they go through the covering letter and if those are additional documents, they match it with your main application if they haven't processed your application yet. This doesn't happen all the time. When you check last years forum, few applicants got their documents matched while others got their both packages back.

Bro my understanding is when they receive package they don't keep it as it was received instead may be they feed up some kind of info in their system and then put in some sort of binder or so. As you know not writing name in Native Language is not a big error. They might haven't check his corrected form yet which was received on May 24th. They might have processed original application. or They might have scanned it and uploaded into their system along with basic info so when VO was doing application completion check he might have seen it. Something like that.
