Guys,

The Total completed applications page is still showing the status as of May 4th.
Is that correct or they just forgot to update the date.

Regards,
Arjun Singh

It's May 4, 2013. They haven't updated it. Check the "updated on" date to see when the page was last updated, but that doesn't tell you the "as-of" date. Nobody knows the as-of date, but it must currently be somewhere between May 5-7.

Reference letter must be in Company letterhead

Depends on if his previous company manager is still working in the same company or not. If the experience was at company A, and the previous manager is now at company B, it shouldn't be on the letterhead of either company. If the previous manager is still with company A and the applicant is at a new company, sure it should be on the letterhead of company A if possible.

1.) Photocopy
2.)original
3.) Original

In document check list it is clearly written "Copies" for settlement funds.
Dont know why you are saying original paper required for below papers
2) Bank Statement or
3) Bank Certification Letter

I guess, CPC-O as compare to NDVO is so fast ...that CPC applicants will land in Canada and will even start family (conditions apply) and settle in jobs but NDVO applicants on other hand still would be struggling to get Medical requests :D :D :D

The government of Canada has recommended a NOC to you. Are you going to go against their recommendation, when they are the ones who will evaluate your application? :o :o

Hi Seniors,
Last year I applied under 1112 category but unfortunately my application got rejected because of not getting the pass mark of 67. The reason of that was that WES evaluate my qualification as Two Years Undergradute & the assessing officer gives only 5 marks for education. As the start of this year FSWP in May I contacted WES to review my evaluation & tell me what is the Canadian Equivalency of my qualification and after 2.5 months they informed yesterday that my evaluation is done & they sent me by courier and as per soft copy from their site it is showing now Canadian Equivalency Diploma Two Years which as per CIC should get 19 marks hence as per this I should get 67 total Marks. Last year when I applied my employer agreed to give me experience letter which math the 1112 while my actual work matches with 0013 & 1111. Now my confusion is whether I should apply under same 1112 category or can I apply under 0013 Category which is less hot as compared to 1112.

I am still awaiting for WES evealuation and IELTS results. I would be able to apply for 2171 by first week of August. With the current pace of screening applications I do not think that they would touch my application before Jan 2015. My question is as Express entry is being introduced in Jan 2015 should I wait or apply now for 2014 program. If I apply now and when my application is in pending state can I make a second application in Express entry as well?

Though we have seen positive responses from CIC for reference letters on normal white paper with business card, but, not ll can go away with using this as an alternate.

This should be the last alternative....

Letter head is mandatory..... No where in document checklist or application guide CIC has mentioned about accepting reference letters on plain a4 paper. It is on the discretion of visa officer to accept or reject it. So my advice is to avoid any kind of risk that may result in app rejection.

Not really accurate. There are many cases including mine where the supervisor has moved on to a different company or the company has a policy against putting such details in a reference letter. In those cases a personal letter accompanies by an explanation of why a letter on company letterhead was not possible have generally been deemed credible. There has been much discussion of the best alternatives to a letter on company letterhead. The issue isn't black or white, the issue is credibility.

@ Ashif_eee

Bro, any comments on this....

"Charge date estimates" and "Apps by rcvd date and status", both of these sheets are showing a PER on 9/5/14 but I could not find the person in main sheet. CIO has just started charging 9th applicants, how come PER is issued so quickly.
It seems the sheet has picked a bug or it is a wrong entry. What do you say !! :o :o

Can you elaborate on this that how many applications have been accepted even after providing reference letter on A4 sheet from a senior as their company was unwilling to provide it on letterhead.

I had one company that I had to do this way and my DD has been cashed.

The company was willing to provide basic details such as term of employment on letterhead but was not willing to go into detail on duties. For that I got a personal letter from my former supervisor.
