I don't think it is going to take 30 days from now... The reason is that currently CIC is working on 7th and 8th May.. 8th May is not huge.. so by next 2 weeks 8th and 9th May should get over.. Over means CC charging and DD encashing..not PER.. and next one is 12th because 10th and 11th was weekend :-)

So.. after 30 days you should have PER hopefully if you are a 12th May applicant...

THanks Alot!!

My application reached CIC on 27th May and I have not inlcuded my PCC from US or anywhere along with my application.

The question is what is the right time to apply for US PCC? Should I apply for it now or just wait until my CC is charged or wait until I receive a AOR from NDVO or should I wait until NDVO requests me for PCC?

You should apply for US PCC at the earliest because it takes 6-8 weeks to get the report from them. You should have it ready when the NDVO asks for it.

Wait till you receive AOR from NDVO

Seniors,

Please advise I need to provide police certificate for Switzerland to CIC, they have two options digital or paper version of certificate I do not see any requirement of selecting a particular one on CIC website, can I select the digital one as it costs less and easy to receive with in couple of days and then print it out and send it to CIC.

Though the following is written on their website for digital certificates.

Important: The digitally signed electronic extract is only valid and verifiable in electronic form.

That's why the extract must be transmitted in electronic form to an employer or to an authority in electronic form so it can be verified by the receiver.

The extract will not be delivered on paper a second time!

Please note that digitally signed electronic extracts are not invariably accepted. Check with the requesting person or authority first.

Thanks,

Captain

I would suggest you go for the printed copy as it is more risk-free. Any which way you can submit your PCC at a later stage. So go for the hard copy instead of the electronic copy.

PCC's need to be submitted in original version , therefore go for the hard copy.

Thanks.

Guys,
In the package - Bar Code pages on top OR Checlist on top? :)

These 2 will be after with DD + Mailing Labels + Photos because of their smaller sizes.

Then what about cover letter?

Get the birth certificate again or use your 10th certificate which has your name with your DOB and anyone of your parents name

Hi all,
Can anyone let me know roughly, how many applications would have been received by CIC as of now under FSWP? Also it would be gr8 if someone gives a picture on the applications received as of now in 2174 job category..
This info would enable me to calculate my possibilities...

Thanks, we had forgotten to add mailing labels and had forgotten to write our names in native language, but turned out ok in the end. were really worried

I have dubmitted my application which is duly received by CIC on 04/07/2014 (according to fedex tracking info). Shall I receive any acknowledgement letter from CIC or the visa office (singapore)? Shall I get any application number? How shall I know that my application is accepted for assessment?

Hello Seniors,

I came to know of the opening of FSWP rather late. I have been doing some research but everything looks rather hazy now. I have a few queries that I would request seniors to help me with.

1. I have seen on CIC's page that they have received a total of 28 applications for NOC 2171 (I'm applying using this NOC). However, the spreadsheet shows that around 550 applicants have applied. Where did the rest go? In the same light what is the May 7th/8th applications?

2. I would like the seniors to advise me if it is a good idea for me to apply now. Is there a good chance that my application will be received after the cap limit is hit?

3. I have most of the documents ready including IELTS results and ECA from WES. The problem is that my wife's passport will expire in Jan 2015 so I'm not sure how CIC will view this. Also, I haven't applied for my 4-month old son's passport yet. Any advice about this would be appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance to all!!!

All the best to all the applicants!
