Hi Guyz,

CIC mentioned that when PCC is sent along with the application, it shouldn't be more than 3 months old. I did not send PCC with the application. When NDVO request for the PCC, the PCC must be less than 3 months old? Plz Adv

I will request for FBI certificate now. I dont know when NDVO will request for the PCC and we cannot guess the month too. Moreover, I have heard cases where Visa office request PCC to be mailed within 30 days. So if I start the FBI certificate process once I get the PCC request, i will be too late. If it can be more than 3 months old, I will start the process right away. Plz adv.

Hi Priya, that depends on for which NOC code you are applying. Can you please elaborate about your profile?

Hi All,
I am new to this forum. Seniors please help me...
If I start the entire procedure for applying PR in FSWP 2014, will I be able to make it before the cap fills?
I have to still start my IELTS, ECA and other processes.
Thanks,
Priya

Thanks for your reply. I am a mainframe developer, and I am not sure if i would fall in 2173 (software engg) or 2174 (computer prog) Please guide
My IELTS test date is on Aug 16th

certainly you will fall under noc 2174. Sorry to say but 2174 is filling too fast. May be by August or max sept it will reach the cap limit.
However you might have chances for noc 2173, however you should have job respo according to software engineer in your reference letter. then only you will pass through it.

It seems many members who’ve received their PERs and who’re awaiting their AORs (Acknowledgement of Receipt) from their local Visa Offices (VOs) are being proactive and applying for their PCCs (Police Clearance Certificates). It states on the application guide that should applicants submit their PCCs with their applications, the PCCs need to have been issued within the last 3 months. Does the same rule apply to the local VOs as well? In other words, does the PCC need to be from within 3 months of the local VO’s request date?

The quote does not qualify for local VO. It is applicable for CIO only, as CIO assumes total processing time from receiving application to medical about 9 months. You can submit even 8-10 month old PCC to local VO.

@Coolcat,

Sorry to hear that... may be you can Apply related NOC's.
Also, could you pls let us know what 'supporting document' was missed ?

You will need to personally ask them or call them for them to give you their procedures of getting second copy.
Countries differers and so can not give you a definite route to get it.
Please approach them or call them on phone.
Cheers.

@ Jpn

Thanks for the reply. +1. After the local VO sends the AOR, do you know what they ask for next? The medical or the PCC?

they might ask for for both giving a specific time margin

Hi all,

I have a query regarding the fund.

I have shown 2 Fixed Deposit Certificates:

1) Fixed Deposit of 2,00,000 on my name at HDFC
2) Fixed Deposit of 5,65,000 in my Mother’s Name at SBI where I am the nominee. In this case I have also included an affidavit from my mother
stating that I am free to use this fund for the purpose of Canadian immigration.

I just came through a post which says the settlement fund should be 100% in the principal applicants name. Can somebody tell me if my application is at risk?

Thanks in advance
