Hi everyone,

I had 3 Canada touristic visa within last 6 years and also I had applied fsw last year and due to to CAP, my application returned back.
As per the information that I read in the forum there should have UCI number on my returned application package (on the forms) however there was nothing.
In order to check my application status on ECAS, I checked my previous visas to see if there is any 8 digit number which were same (everybody says the UCI number will be unique forever) but there were 3 different numbers on my visas.

I tried to check my application status on ECAS link several times with them but everytime it was UNsuccessfull. So I was waiting for the PER email to see my UCI number.

Today I tried again with 8 digit number (without any"-", from my last visa, got it 2 years ago) and noticed that my application status is IN PROCESS. I belive ( I hope), my PER is on the way (not yet received).

I hope everyone on this forum see the same info as soon as possible and feel the same as I felt.

I just wanted to share this info.

best regards

dear cio

with all due respect and honor...please kindly finish the cases of 7th may and move on.....we are on last stage of waiting...cant wait more....plz feel our frustration and start the cases of 8th may!

awaiting your loving response.

yours waiting patient!

Looking at the trend of fee charging, 7th May is going to take hell lot of time.

10:19 applicant was charged on 18th June, whereas 13:57 on 30th June. Considering CIO checking 22 apps everyday.
It can be said that they had received minimum 200 application between 10:19 and 13:57 if not more.
13:57 number could be even more as UPS delivers at around that time.

Hi does your UCI # start with "B" on a bar code, 4 numbers long space then another 4 numbers. I had my application returned in 2008 due to the ministerial announcement. Not sure if this is the socalled UCI #. Anyone? Thx

Hey guys,
I sent my application on 27-06-2014. Now I have seen that the Generic Application Form is there with date June 2014. Earlier the date was July, 2014. The experienced members suggested that we should go for the old form as the print button in that form was not active.
I am bit worried, whether CIC will accept my application with old generic form or they will return it back?????

Brother,

If it that number consisted with 8 digit numerical number than u should use that UCI number....

Hi Ashif,

One of my friend's file got rejected in 2009 with UCI on it. He had sent this year but did not mention UCI. Will he be getting same UCI. Does CIC keep record of those old rejected applications.

Hi,

My answer is NO. only 8 digit number without any space.
The ones with start letter as "B" did not work on ECAS on my case.

I hope this helps

The difference between two forms is only IELTS test confimation. Did you check it. I believe the new form is available since 23rd June. In my opinion you are safe. what is the signature date you filled in.

I think they do keep a record.. My Visitor visa was rejected in Jan'14 and now my OWP has been approved in Jun'14.. both of these applications have same UCi even though I kept it blank on my application.

Folks,
I think the CIC CAP site has been updated today. can you please confirm. or is it still the old data

Does "National Identity Document" refer to country of citizenship or residence? My country of citizenship does not have a national ID, but my country of residence does.

Any name that is different from your passport, put those into Generic Form, section of Personal Details of question 2. I dumped every other name(s) there.

Hello Century,
That brings a question in my mind my for exmaple if the First name abc last name xyz father first name is 123 in current passport but on education documents the comdination used was abc x 1 (only x as onlyfirst letter was used from last name and 1 cause 1st letter from father name was used)
and other combination was abc 1 x so for these name i have added a same name affidavit explaining is it enough? or do i need to mention some where in the application.
thanks in advance.
