Please Suggest

My name in SSC certificate is "ABC XYZ kumar PQR" and in all other documents its "ABC XYZ PQR". I do not have birth certificate, what if I attach SSC certificate with name of "ABC XYZ kumar PQR" and a birth Affidavit with name of "ABC XYZ PQR". Will that be ok..? Or I need to anything else.

Provide a same name affidavit which should be handy with the notary and affidavit for DOB as well and attach the document which have the different combination of names used for reference and get them notarized if possible.

As per CIC website, 491 applications are accepted. Is it as of May 4th applications or May 7th applications?

I feel like 491 represents all the applications whose CC or DD charged including partial May7th applicants ( with and without PER ).

Reason for this conclusion - only one applicant in 0911 is updated in the CIC website from 24/6 and that applicant was able to track his DD charged date just before 24/6 update. He has till now not received his PER .


hope that 0911 update of 1 candidate will be the one which is updated in this forum.

There was an applicant in fswp 2013, who sent a document forgotten in the previous package sent. The application was processed not on the stamped date of the initial receipt, but on the stamped dAte of the missing document. Fortunately for the applicant, the NOC was not hot.
If your application is not processed along with 10th june, then wait for the next date your missing document was received.

Please can you let me know the who was the person information, do you know him or you remember this from the forum and how he managed to send send additional document package and it worked out.

if you could provide further details about what that person did etc it will help us.
it would be a good help for everybody who are into similar situation they can send things quickly or else they have to spend lot of time in creating another package.

But we cannot make sure that one candidate is the same one in our forum right? S/he could be someone we don't know. We estimate that only 15-20% of global applicants are in our spreadsheet.
In that case, the applicant who is in our forum (DD charged) might still not be the one shown in the CAP update.

Hi, CIC will review your application according to the contents as at the time it was received and on the basis of what they find, a decision will be made. Well, you don't lose anything by sending your extra document now so give it a shot. All the best

My situation is as follows, i miss interpreted the document checklist where it says copies unless otherwise stated for ECA and sent a photocopy of ECA which was notarized.

Now i have to two options

1 solution/workaround ....Send just the ECA (orginal) which is with me with the UCI # i have and a cover letter explaining the situation ask for consideration of the same for the package i sent and reached Sydney 10th june.

For the above solution 1 or work around the helpful people around have commented that my first application will be opened as per the date received and if they notice the ECA report issue (" Which by the way they can look at WES online copy available specifically for them if they want to make an effort to make people feel good abt their efforts and time") then the worst case they would reject it and when they pick up the seperate package where i have sent the ECA they already have processed my package and probably sent it back to the address mentioned.

2 Solution/workaround.....Another suggestion is that i put everything back together of course by getting another original of IELTS prepare the package send it across with available original ECA report and a cover letter explain about the first application which reached on 10th may and why you are sending the whole package again.

In this above workaround i am worried about two things:
a....Application being considered duplicate and banned
b....Time taken to put things together and which might make the application chance bleak to make it into the cap.


Before doing any of the above i wanted to talk to CIC guys (So mail id , number or link or blog or post anything that would help) and also mail them and get to know what would be the best approach do they have any mechanism for the same to deal with cause it requires a lot of effort to put things together i am sure everyone has realized it.

What i was hoping is in my situation they should send me an email may be hold/return the whole application and ask me to send the original ECA with package again or just the ECA with the consideration that it has been processed earlier to be considered into another queue altogether.

Or easiest way is the ECA is notarized and they do have a copy of the ECA available online for them to view and they can ask local VO to cross check during that phase of processing.

I might be very optimistic but there should be tolerance defined for a mistake if you miss out application its different if you send a copy my mistake but have an original is another situation ( i m supporting myself ) but i guess every mistake a lesson to everybody on the forum.
So people learn and all the best and send a complete application in the first place.

I would write a long post about the DO's and Dont's and may be we can have it on the first post so that everybody can add and make it easy for people to refer inturn making life easier for others.

Looking at trends, CIO will start processing 8th May application on 14th or 15th July, not before that. Oscar can put some light on it.

Brother, The news might not be too good for May 8th applicants. It seems CIO will take longer than I originally anticipated (at the current speed). May 7th received applications should go on until next Tuesday EOD for sure, may be a bit longer too. Based on our spreadsheet data roughly around 55 to 60 May 7th guys are done charging and about 85 to 90 are still pending (there were around 148 in total for May 7th). Well, I hope CIO does faster work and proves my estimation wrong!!! Best wishes!!!

My guess is around the Jul 10th or so May 8th received applications might start. ???

I guess, Favourmercy is referring to FSW2013 case of Floxzy. He did not include the Schedule3 Form(Your Travels).

Actually my wife is a physiotherapist and prime applicant in our case.
WE have submitted :

But have not submitted the marksheets of her 4 years bachelor's of physiotherapy degree neither we have the transcript with us

Now iff I refer to the point no 13 on document checklist where it says

" Proof of Education
To receive points for your education, you must provide proof that you have completed a Canadian secondary or post-secondary educational program OR submit an original ECA report along with proof of the foreign educational credential(s) for which you are claiming points.
Proof of your completed Canadian or foreign educational credential(s) can include copies of your:
• secondary or post-secondary education documents (certificates, diplomas or degrees), and
• transcripts for successfully completed secondary or post-secondary studies, if available.

Request you all to tell your honest opinion ... am I SAFE or Should start waiting for my app to reach me again this year

BTW WE have claimed 75 points with 22 in Education , incase education points are not granted for BPT we will land to 15 points in education .

Hi, you are safe. The ECA is released based on review of your transcript so your degree certificate and ECA are sufficient for submission to FSW. Cheers
