No. They won't refund. I read it categorically on their site. I may search for the doc and paste here later. Everyone should do personal eligibility checks b4 applying. I have friends who have refrained from applying because they can't get up to 67%. They are planning other methods of migrating other than FSW.

Regards

I believe u r right :D

Hey all,

My GF's friend also applied for the FSW program. She's a 2173. She knew her occupation would be "hot", so she applied ASAP. She found out that her DD was encashed last week. While going through her application today she realized that she had made a small mistake. In her personal history, she failed to account for two months. Not an intentional mistake, but more of an error due to the stress and pressure of filling the application quickly. Now she's asking me whether she should fill out a new form and submit it acknowledging the mistake.

What should I advice her to do?

Seniors, your advice on this is very much appreciated.

DD encashed already proves its not a big deal. If that 2 months info is required, VO will send an email later to provide updated information by email. No worries. Last year also, a few applicants skipped some info in the form and VO asked them to provide updated info by email.
Advice her to relax and chill! :)

Anyone from the veteran team, please answer this!!

Select option no and issue is solved.

You need to carefully read Document Checklist item # 17 (Children's information) and provide what applies from the below list:
1- Son's birth certificate (which names the parents)
2- Proof of full custody for son under the age of 18 and proof that son may be removed from jurisdiction of court
3- If the other parent of your son is not accompanying you to Canada, you must submit a signed 'Statutory Declaration from Non-Accompanying Parent / Guardian for Minors Immigrating to Canada (IMM 5604 - original). You must submit one copy for each child and a copy of the non-accompanying parent's photo ID showing their signature.
4- Adoption papers issued by recognized national authorities showing the legal, approved adoption of adopted dependent children (this may not apply to your case)

Also to answer your specific question, don't think that Birth Certificate document qualifies for a custody document

Hi seniors,

I am a single mother & I am planning to include my son in my application, he is using my surname & his father's name is not stated in his birth certificate, is that enough proof of full custody?

Thanks in advance...

I found this line from the page no. 1818 'If your eligibility review is unsuccessful you will receive an email stating the reasons and your entire application will be returned to you. Since CIO have already taken payment by this point they will initiate a refund of your fees, which will likely take several months to get to you. Please note this is the last point at which you will receive a refund if your application is unsuccessful.

At this stage your ECAS status should now read “CIO eligibility review complete”.

Yes, fee will be refunded if application is at CIO review (1st stage). However, if application has reached VO (next, detailed reviewed stage) and is determined ineligible, no refund.
Cheers, :)

Wouldn't that be considered as hiding of the information?? What if later found the truth in local visa office?

I have 4 years articleship experience from a PWC firm as a trainee should I write it in the "Economic Class" form even though I don't want to claim points for that ... I also have 5 years other experience in a bank for which i will be using for NoC and claiming points ... So should I write it or not ...

If you choose not to include any experience (4 years is a considerable time) - make sure your Background Declaration form does not Contradict with Schedule 3. You don't want to end up looking like you are trying to conceal information.

I (and others) in this forum have already said recently that citizenship number is NOT your national ID number. Nepal does not have one. So, move along.

Most likely US$ 36, as I am not aware of family level checks. It is more likely an individual level checking done at US$ 18 each. Two CC forms sounds like the way to go! :)

Actually, one can combine the total fees and put it under one payment form (if the applications for all family members are sent in one packet). I ahev already done that twice with no problem. You just have to write in the payment form who you are paying for.

Hi, very simple. Leave the space blank, fill the rest of the form and validate. Then fill in with black pen, this can apply to any any part of the form(s) where field is difficult to fill online or space is inadequate.
Best of luck with your application. :)
