I am not sure about the acceptance of your mother's account statement.. but i think it wont be much difficult to transfer money from your mom's account to yours.. this will ensure that there is no problem from CIC side.

Still you want to use your mom's account, you need to make an affidavit on your mother's name that her fund is available to you all the time.. or something like that.

I have a follow-up question to this;

I am applying for me and my family(spouse and child) and hence can show any FDs or bank balance in my wife;s account or my child's account as POF . But the query here is, if I am a joint account holder with my mother and there is funds in her account, can that be shown as POF, mind you .. my mother would not be shown as a co-applicant for visa.

Response would be highly appreciated ... Thnks

Kollins bro,

I am surprised to see your response on point-8. Does it mean that i can not put my brother's name as my representative..?

I am in Malaysia and he is in India and he may need to send some documents on my behalf later on.. further, my stay in malaysia is temperory.. may be upto sept.. What you mean by "registered" representative..?

Hi, I am applying for FSW 2014 as primary applicant. I am a post-graduate ad my spouse is also a post-graduate .I heard primary applicant can get 5 points if spouse is post-graduate. Is this true? Do i need to get my spouse educational credentials also validated by WES to get this extra 5 points?

Please clarify.

Tx,
Siva.

The spouse can only get points for education if she/he is educated in Canada.

Spouse can fetch points for English/French Language though, a maximum of 5 points, if they score more than CLB Level of 4.

Can we request the cic to install a live cc cam so that we can view whats going on..in there..may be a audio connection to this forum ..so that we can motivate them not to give up assessing our applications..and encourage them 8) 8) 8) ::)

Loool love it!!!

But I'm guessing it would be just a boring office full of cubicles with people busy staring over papers or at their computer screens...it would get tedious watching that after a while. ..The audio connection for us motivating them would be great though...We'd be screaming at them all day....lool

You CAN appoint your brother as a representative. They don't need to be paid. According to CIC:

"Types of representatives

Family, friends, and non-profit groups often help applicants who feel the need for support and advice on immigration matters. You can appoint a representative who does not charge fees or receive any other compensation for providing immigration advice or services to represent you before CIC or the CBSA."

However, if you choose to have a representative, then you would have to have their address in the contact information/mailing address part.
