hey everyone! it's been a while.. i see CIC has done some serious work by now, comparing its work to the last year's one... that's a good sign! i like to see our spreadsheet turning dark green.... hopefully, i will have some good announcements soon! happy waiting to all of us!

I suppose it is encouraging to know that CIC is working faster than they did last year. But with very few exceptions they are still on 5 May applicants. It's like they want to torture us 6/7/8 May applicants just a while longer. Can it really take this long?

I would really like to see what goes on inside the CIO.

So finally CIC declared new opening from 1st May -2014.

I have created this thread for helping each other --could be anything-form filling up,POF queries, mental support etc .

Since this year 50 category will be open having a max cap of 1000, so this will bring more opportunity to be a successful applicant for an period.

Wish every of u have a successful dream to live on the land of maple leaf country very soon.. :D

Hello ashif!!

I am working as an Instrumentation & Control Engineer & have 5years Hands-on work experience in the field of Electrical and Industrial Instrumention. My education background is Computer Engineering, I have the ECA report & IELTS 7.0 Band score. Am i elligible to apply for FSW Program under NOC job code:2133 Electrical & Electronics Engineer??

Dear all

posted regarding the following earlier, however, failed to receive any feedback. posting again. I will appreciate very much your advises and feedbacks

I am facing a serious problem with my work experience. I am a research student (leading to PhD), performing research in the areas of civil engineering. However, i am employed at the university, working full time (40 hours/week), and receive holidays/other benefits. My duties follow the specification provided by NOC for Civil Engineers. My question is, is my work experience valid for FSW application? In the FAQ file it is stated that 'Your work experience must have been full-time (or the equivalent in part-time hours), worked continuously and paid, for over at least one year in the same occupation. Often, jobs as teaching, research or lab assistants at post-secondary institutions are part time, only for the academic year, not the full year and would not count toward the work experience requirement for this program.'
However, since I am employed full-time and receiving salary, will my work experience be valid? Please share your ideas/experiences.

Ohhh....is it? :-[ :-[ Will my case be considered or Kindly suggest what should I do now as i have already submitted my application?

Since you are working full time, it must be valid for FSW.

It is 5.56 am in Sydney Nova Scotia.

Does this not affirm the theory that PER is automatically generated after a certain period and certain conditions are met? Just my thought...
