Based on my IELTS dates and other paperwork, I'm aiming to get my application out by middle-July.

Any idea if that will be on-time, too late?

Same here, not before mid July, IELTS Test will be June 21st.
If CIC says CAP is not full we will sent application.

Dear Members,

My university name has got changed since I left.

All my Convocation certificate and Marksheets have old university name.

My WES is done successfull. I have my ECA, which holds new university name.

Will change in university name impact CIC or they will look at ECA report. Do I need to send them additional documents stating my change in university name.
Please suggest.

Same happened with me, I did my ECA last year. I am the principal applicant, and from a country that keeps changing name of its cities, universities, colleges etc. at the drop of a hat, LOL. But the way it changed was....if it was XYZ university earlier when I studied, now it is called ABC DEF XYZ university. So XYZ is still part of the name of the university. It didn't cause any trouble with ECA, they had no query on this change and ECA report came out fine.

I don't think this should impact my file at CIO, it is very logical and I have not added any note to application on this name change.
