Guys,

Today I sent a hero from last year FSWP a private Msg. his name is Jigzyy. I would like here to through the question that I have asked to this hero. please feel free to comment if you have an answer. I will post later his answer. thank you. below is the private Msg:

Hello Jigzyy,

As you are a big hero of 2013 FSWP, I would highly appreciate if you could enlighten me with your answer to the following question: How many working days it took the NOC 2174 to be capped in 2011 race? I guess it was 5 or 7 working days! I guess 2174 was the fastest to close, wasn't it?

The reason I am asking this, because this year, as you know, a lot of applicants are ready with their files, so, more or less, it is quite like 2011 race in the sense of that many applicants had little required effort/ documents to pay/prepare in order to apply and I guess the sub-cap in 2011 was 1000 applications and it is the same this year. I sent this year my package for the NOC 1112 and it reached the CIO on the 7th of May which is the fifth working day since they open this year on the 1st of May 2014.

I highly appreciate your feedback

Ammani, from last years experience (I was a 2174 applicant), and it took around 1 month for the cap to fill. We tracked applicants upto atleast 28th may who got their CC's charged. You can view the details in the spreadsheet. So this 5-7 working days is a myth by all means. I just missed the cap by two working days, so I was intently following the patterns.

This time around, I think it is safe to expect that 217X caps will not fill as fast as last years even though a lot of applicants such as my self from last year were ready to apply. Reason being:
1. I applied in 2174 last time and 2173 this time around. Meaning there will be more such applicnts
2. My points 1 translates to the fact that 2174 has a cap of 300. This time that can be safely superimposed into 217X meaning atleast 2000-3000 people.
3. If i were to give a good estimate of the caps being filled this time around for the fastest NOC's, I would say atleast more than a month per NOC. (Caution: This is my own estimate - Do not follow me blindly.)

dear all this is latest update from immigration number they receive

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

For Indian Applicants :

You can use your PF amount also as proof of funds.
Earlier it was difficult to get the details of the PF fund.
Now you can go to EPFO website and generate a PF passbook in PDF format which is digitally signed .
It has EPF logo and other details also, hence is eligible as a proof of funds.

It is suitable for 2173 and 2171. However I suggest please do not submit it as atleast you should match 70 to 75% JD with NOCs roles and responsibilities mentioned.. Below one will not be passed as there are only 2 sentences.. Kindly make it another one or you may take a print out of your reference letter via word doc and obtain signature of our manager or lead and attach a business card.. It will be okay..

Thanks for your reply abhi228. I have the same doubt but I already sent the application with the same letter I have. Just because time is running out. I can only pray now that CIC will be kind enough. :(

Guys I have a question... What if two applications were reviewed at the same time. What is faster to issue, a PER or NER email? I am also just wondering how will I look at an email if it arrives in my mailbox. Like how long upon reading when will I realize if the assessment is positive or negative.

I got a quick query.

I have worked for 3 companies in the past 6 years.

Company 1 - does not exist. (I have the relieving letter which says the period of my stay with the company. I have a soft copy of the offer letter or probably might not have it only) Please advise.

Company 2 - Exist but a small company with only 4 people. Mostly the promoter would reject my request. Please advise what should i do.

Company 3 - current - I cannot approach HR or my supervisor to sign off on the letter. I can get a colleague to do it on companies letter head. Is it mandatory to get this from someone you report or HR? Please advise.

Can someone from India..working in IT industry advise...how to get the experience certificate with role and responsibilities....my company wont provide one.

Is it fine if I get reference letter from my lead on a plain A4 sheet page?
No, it has to be on company's letterhead...This is the Trick(some lying involved) I used....Go to your supervisor and tell him & also email, keeping your HR in cc(coz they are the ones in possession of letterhead) you want to pursue some course in canada(in my case I said executive MBA) and for that you need show your work experience citing roles and responsibilities to prove your exp...(don't mention immigration as they tend to deny fearing iteration)...generally they give on education grounds..hope it works for you
