Hi can2174 and all,
Have anybody received any notification from CIC for FSW 2014 yet? specifically who applied in the 1st week of May 2014?
I applied under 2173 on 2nd May and my application reached there on 7th May 2014. I just checked CIC website and they have updated the counts of the number of applications received under all NOC codes.


Please let me know if any one of you received any notification from CIC as yet?

as per spreadsheet for fsw2014 , 25 people have received positive eligibility review(PER) email from cic. almost 65+ applicants have got their CC/DD charged till 6th may. So the processing of applications is going on and reached till 6th may.

wait for 1 week you would CC will be charged if you used CC and then within 2 weeks you will recieve PER if your application is complete and you are eligible.
By the way, even my application has reached on 7th may.

Just got the information from my bank that my demand draft got encashed on 4 June 2014.
Hurrayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

mine was 5 may 2014----- 2173 application.
Now waiting for PER.

don't loose hopes, just try to file asap. You never know you would be 1000th applicant. No matter if you are 1st applicant or 1000th you will get PR. so don't loose hopes.

One more thing to consider....if the data is bases on application reaching 1 may which means these guys did not even waited for the new forms to be uploaded on CIC website but choose with old set of forms..it means 45 is lesser figure to project a day's count..Assuming it take 4 days for a courier company to deliver package at CIC office.It would be around 70-80 per day and this trend tend to continue till 2nd week of may......Thus just about filling the cap around that time...

Well, though there are certainly such brave souls who sent their package before May-1st, I doubt there were many. The reason being last year in FSW-2013, many applicants burnt their fingers when CIC uploaded new forms on 4-May ( 1st day of FSW-2013) and all those who sent before 4th May got rejection.

So definitely people were more cautious this time. Though it's a different matter that no such forms update actually happened this time.

Please help me to have an idea. I will be applying for noc 0113 puchasing manager on 10 july... As having ielts on 21 june....

According to cic update, 3 applications have been counted under sub cap.

Please help me in getting an idea about my chance if i apply on 10 july.

I was 90% sure that forms won't change, because they said in the newsletter that they will give ministerial instructions on 26th april. The instructions did not have anything about changes in rules or point criteria. Still I held till 1st may to be safe.

Most likely this would have included May 1 & 2 Applications (those being issued PER by 6th June before Cap page is updated).

But the Real Influx of Applications @ CIO begins after 5th May as most guys would dispatch their courier after 1 May. Let CIO Process PER's for atleats 1 Full week of Applicants and in subsequent Cap update and expect to see a big spike in nos. Also, more clarity will emerge on %'s as sample size increase (less biased) !

I think this is 43 as of May 1, because the number is only based on PER, not CC charged. I fear the cap will be over by May 9 or May 15 max.

Bro, I wouldn't say that. It's well-known that the 2174 is one of the most demanded categories under FSW program. However, just keep in mind that this year the probabilities are more than triple as the cap is now 1000 for each NOC.

So, if you don't even try, you won't know it.
