I have Pakistani Marriage Certificate completely in English but exact word of "Marriage Certificate" is not mentioned. Instead of it the Islamic word for same "NIKAH NAMA" is mentioned on the certificate.

Is that fine or should I write a cover letter to explain "NIKAH NAMA" word?

If the full document is not written in English you need an official translation, specially if the word "marriage certificate" is what you need to explain. It depends on the immigration officer but I wouldn´t risk it for literally two words.

Hi Guys,

Thanks to posts and advices of this forrum, I was able to send my application today from Mumbai. FedEx people will deliver it on Wednesday. Is CIC very particular about envelope size?

Also, I request you all to please check the forms thoroughly. I was going to send CC payment form without my sign. Just realised while thinking about all signatures.

Gold Bless. Once again, thanks a lot...

If you use the standard courier envelop it will be just fine.

If that is so, then why can't we use the mailing address of my Canadian friend?
I will tell you my case. I am from India. My permanent address in in one state and communication address is other since I work in a different state.
So i put my communication address at my work location since for any further communication from CIC I vill get it at my current place.

If you are from Canada then you can, else you can't.

Example.
My communication address should be near to my work location that is same Country

Hope I gave you clarity.

All the best :)

Hi All,

I have a question regarding proof of relationship in Canada
My brother is in Canada so do I need to make a family tree or bay form of Me and my brother will serve the purpose ?
Please guide how to prove relationship ? All please reply

Birth certificates from both of you showing the same parents would do it.

hello seniors, i need your opinion on the specific period or cut-off relating to work within the last 10 years inorder to be eligible. thank you.

Not sure what you mean. Do you mean, from what date should we calculate "the last 10 years?" I'd say from the date you sign the application.

Safer side, it would be better to use notarized translation copy .

Dear CIC we know it's too cold in Canada and Vodka and Whisky are on the rocks on Weekends. .....but plzzzzzzzzzzzzz have a peg less on Sunday night so that you can be early on Monday with more good news :)
Happy Weekend :) 8) :-*

As per CIC, notarize translation is required for documents which are not in English/French.

My Marriage Certificate is completely in English. Only problem is the word NIKAH NAMA mentioned instead of Marriage Certificate.

Does CIC know that this word "Nikah Nama" is same as Marriage Certificate?

Hello Admins

Thanks for creating this thread. Its very useful for people like me how don't have much information about processing steps and its timeline.

Now coming to my doubt, I have applied last time in NOC code 2132 in Oct-2013 and my application returned back due to cap limit in Dec-2013. Though I didn't received my application back and its lost somewhere in courier. When I inquired to CIC via email they only told me that they returned back in DEc-2013.

Now this time again I have applied in same NOC and my application reached there on 14 My 2014. Till now I didn't received any communication regarding this. I came to know from this thread that it will take at least 2 months to get some information.

1. Should I have mentioned somewhere In my application regarding my last time application? Bcos I didn't had any reference no. or something about that so I didn't mentioned anything anywhere in application-2014. Is there any issue regarding this??

2. What is difference in RER and AOR ?? From these threads I heard about PER term. When I will come to know about these steps and how (Via email or letter)?

Sorry for putting long question. But It will help to clear my doubts. Bocs this time I have big hope to get this through.

Thanks

Hi All,

This is Naveen from India, i am planning to apply for FSW 2014 under NOC 2173. I have got my ECA report and gona write my IELTS exam tomorrow. I have my maternal uncle in Canada, he is a canadian PR holder. Inorder to get the 5 points for the relationship i have to submit the birth certificates of my uncle and my mother. But unfortunately both of them don't have their BC's. In the above case can i provide individual notarized affidavit certificates mentioning the birth details and parents name written by a close family friend of us who is elder than my uncle and mother, since my grandfather and grandmother passed away. Along with the affidavits i will provide a cover letter, uncle's pr copy & a utility bill. Will CIC accept the above documents inorder to claim the 5 points.

Does any of the senior forum members have provided affidavits for the proof of realtionship?

Or is it just that our friends have not updated the spreadsheet ?

Hope this does'nt happen for any of the people in this forum but simple rule is
If CC is not charged and if subsequent couple of days CC are charged in the same NOC, it will mean one is out of the game. Such people can try their luck by applying again, if they can get one more copy of IELTS.
