Renewal of passport is taking a long time, there has been news that there are troubles in printing the passport. Do you think its ok to submit my old passport with August 2014 expiry? I'll include affidavit and cover letter. Anyone did this before? thanks!

As long as your passport is valid when you apply you're fine. The letter explaining you are renewing is a good idea though.

Senior please advice

For "Additional Family Information" form , it says we need to fill all the names in English and in native language.

I have question, can we just take a print out of the same form and fill the equivalent names in native language on the "English: filled form , or we need to fill the fresh form or we can attach extra sheet for this.

Also we are not required to fill the address and place of birth in native ?

Please advice

I don't have a relevant degree for NOC 1123 (that is degree in business marketing or PR or Communications, etc). I am B.Tech in Mechanical. But I do have a work experience of 2 years. Am I eligible to apply?

You are eligible to apply...for instance i have B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering but with over 8 years experience in ICT

Are you still in contact with any supervisor who could write you a letter? Do you have any letters issued by the company at the time? Any evidence of your actual duties (not just the fact of your employment/salary, because it's the duties that are crucial)? With any of those you could explain that the company is no longer in business. Not ideal but those substitutes (in order from best to worst) are the usual suggestions of the board.

Thanks future_canadian for the reply!

Today I traced the President of the company and currently she is in the US... she closed the business in 2010 and also may not be having the letterheads of the company.. what should I ask her to provide?

I have the documents that I got at the time of appointment but since they closed the business in 2010 in both India and US; the company's address mentioned on the documents may be used by someone else and the contacts provided on the documents are also not operational now. So what could be the possible solutions in this scenarios...

Thanks

Make the table in Word.

Yes it is acceptable to write on a printed form if you have things you can't fill in, like writing "present" in "to" date fields.

Someone suggested to use 'current date' for continuing job instead of hand writing. Which one should follow?

Dear Seniors,

Please let me know if we have to complete all the fields that are not applicable to us with N/A.

In the Sent a Complete Application Guide, it states:

"Answer ALL THE QUESTIONS on the form - if the question does not apply to you, write N/A"

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/multimedia/video/complete-application/complete-application.asp

If there is this field UCI - in form IMM0008E - that is not applicable. AFter i electronically completed the form should i write with pen N/A .... ?

Thank you,

If you are not able to write N/A electronically then no need to put it after printing as well.

Can anyone of you advise on the following:

I am with my current employer for 2 years and 3 months now. During this period I have worked in two positions for the same company:

1: Regional IT Business Systems Specialist for 1 year and 8 months
2: Country IT Business Systems Specialist for 7 months

As the names suggest, both roles have similar responsibilities, I just extended my scope a bit. The criteria for work experience says that each full-time job with one year plus experience will be considered for points in the experience part.

Hence,my question: Will they consider the experience that I gathered from my second job or not? If this cannot be said for sure, would you suggest me to ask my employer not to split between those two roles and simply state "IT Business System Specialist" with an experience of 2 years and 3 months?

Please advise. :)

Both are fine

If your specified NOC requires an ECA from a designated professional body then you would need to have an ECA report from that body for the relevant degree and an additional ECA from a generic body like WES if you wish to claim credit for any higher degree. But health care managers 0311 doesn't require an ECA from a designated professional body, right? Seems like only 3111, 3112 and 3131 require this. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

@future_canadian

I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering, but I have applied in the NOC 2132 (Mechanical Engineering). Do I need an ECA from designated professional body?

Dear Brother,

For generic Form --no need to write anything manually...Just left it as it is....Since those fields are being grayed out which are not applicable for u....

but other forms does not behave like this form...Also follow the individual Form instruction since few forms instructs "NONE" few "NOT APPLICABLE"

I hope u have now better idea...:)

good luck
