Got the application back.

Stay positive... the positive thing here that you got your application back within the same couple of days...... usually it takes couple of months for people outside canada......re-apply again ASAP...

I'm guessing the probability is rather low. It stands to reason that the application would be received by a front desk, and that the actual officers who review the applications don't work at the front desk. That would be the most logical conclusion, but who knows what goes on inside that lovely building?

My god.. You guys should be in FBI.. so much of detailed investigation.. :D ;D

at the same time there are so many cases where noc mismatch or job letter applications returned without charging that may be a senior gave second thought.....

yes makes sense, waiting for that golden moment for PER........ :)

As far as I understand, the Affidavit is provided by Parent (s).. and the person who provides the Affidavit needs to sign in front of Notary Public (technically).

If you are going to get it done from Canada, means you are going to provide a Affidavit of birth yourself ? (I'm not sure what will be matter of your Affidavit and whether Self Affidavit will be accepted by CIO.. pls check with others on the forum before proceeding).

Are you sure it needs to be signed by my parents. I was thinking to get it done here in Canada through a Lawyer.

Emabssy BC's may be used "for something" but Not for CIO !

Can you try the Indian embassy there ? I am based in Singapore and I needed my birth certificate for something. Though I had it, it did not have my parents name on it. The Indian embassy provided me with a letter stating my relationship with my parents

A 2013 applicant got this info from CIC:

We do not accept Passports as proof of Birth, therefore we are unable to accept details from passport. We do accept Secondary school records that contain the following :

Applicant's Name
Date of Birth
Name of Parent/Parents

If you are not able to provide a Birth certificate with all 3 criteria, we require an affidavit stating all of this information or that a Birth certificate cannot be attained.

So, in your case, you can have a notarized affidavit from your parents stating this info and send the original to CIC. Good luck!

gs123,

I have sent you a PM.... dude, please have a look at that and reply.....

Appreciate your help!!

Sounds right. When you created an account in WES, there is a pdf file that needs to be enclosed with the official transcripts. The address is mentioned there.

I have the sealed packet from university with attested transcript and mark sheets.. But they have not put any date on the attestation and also letter is not placed inside (I think you are talking about the pdf file requesting the university to provide documents). Can this create any problem?

In simple words, the sealed packet contains only transcript + marksheet - attested but not dated. Pls suggest if i need to redo the entire thing.

@max

There's some confusion here.. If your DoB is not mentioned on SSC Marksheet why would you provide it in lieu of BC at first place. Is it that you miss providing BC in the Appln and CIO assumed your SSC marksheet is in lieu of your BC whereas it is just for Educational purpose/proof ? Have you given any explanation letter also ?

Please advice

I know why my CC was not charged.

My application is returned saying they dont accept SSC marksheet as proof of Birth certificate as mine does not have Date of birth on it.

My problem is I am in Canada now and a citizen of India and its not possible for me to get a birth certificate form India.
Can someone please please suggest me if there is a way I can get an affidavit(in Canada) which would say that I cant attaine a Birth certificate from India?? and would confirm my Name, Date of birth and Parents name.

Apprecaite a reply!!!!!

NOoo way... Zero % likelihood. here's why i think so :

-- the person who receives the package is just a messenger level guy.. whereas the person who reviews it is an Officer level guy (may be 5x more qualified than a messenger.. no offences meant to anybody)

-- The VO's day in CIO office : sitting in a cubical... no distraction (may be intercomm/ phone).. only only surrounded by 9" x 12" Packets and Appln papers all over his table, below the chair, under shoes etc etc sometimes pages may be used as tissues ;-)

-- The Messenger's day in CIO office :
9:30am Fedex Truck arrives.. Sir: packets for morning workout .. pls acknowledge !
12:30 pm UPS Mini Van : Starters Packets ... pls sign
1:00 pm DHL Loading Auto : Light Lunch Packets
4:00 pm Aramex/ Purolator Bike : Tee time dip tea packets !

In between some snacks Packets provided by First Flight, Canada Post, TNT etc on their Scooty, bikes etc :P

LOL ! ;D ;D

This is the funniest post I read in this forum :) ;) :D ;D ;D :D ;) :). +1 for bringing humor.

Thanks a ton Pipis. It is a sigh of relief for me now.

Also I have another query that we can apply for two different NOCs provided if the roles and responsitibilities are matching for the corresponding NOC. In this case, IELTS IDP is not providing another Test Report. Could you please provide your input on how we can achieve this pls.

I am going for IELTS next month with British council. However, along with the test application, i have submitted a copy of filled IMM0008ENU_2D - General Application Form for Canada and IMM5669E - Schedule A _ Background - Declaration forms. They have agreed to provide 2 original test reports on this basis.

Similar system must be available with IDP as well..

I am the principal applicant but the bank accounts were named after my husband. Do you think its ok?
