Software & finance may get filled in 2 - 4 months.

I do feel that no engg 213X will be filled in full 6 months.

guys relax and fill your applications carefully, arrange your funds, experience letters and other documents carefully

but i didnot get you.....if you mean to say your consultant dispatched your application on May 1st then how did it reach Nova Scotia on Day 2 i.e., May 2. Did you send application from local (Canada near to Nova Scotia)?

Also, Can you please confirm with your consultant whether it was delivered on 1st or 2nd May? it will help lot of other applicants.

Dont worry brother, no cap would have been filled till date, be realistic, 23 days to fill 300, atleast give them a month for 1000.. Mine was delivered on 23rd May, i should do a suicide in that case. lol

I agree. I believe that 2174 was one of the first ones to be filled last year, and there's at least one 2174 applicant in the 2013 spreadsheet who got a PER having filed his application on May 27th. And this was with a 300 cap. So I guess pretty much everyone who had their applications received in May are still under their caps. And I guess NOCs that weren't in the last few years may fill even slower, since people weren't ready, and they have to pursue language certification and ECA and lots of other things, and this takes a lot of time.

At least I hope I'm right, since I'm on 2174 and my appication was filed on May 22nd

And yes, the wait is killing me...

Such mistakes do not qulify for rejection but you aplication processing time can increase as Visa Office might look for clarification. In your case it is very easy to understand it as human error, Chances of refusal due to this is close to nil... Cheers..

I Just mailed my application today but I remembered I forgot to write my name in the Consent and Declaration of Applicant in Generic form. I had signed and Dated that page though.

Has anyone heard if this is an issue and would cause rejection?

1. I dont think it will cause any problem, only space is missing which could/should be construed as typo error. What i have analyzed from list of rejections is that CIC guys use reasonable judgement / common sense while matching the information. However, it could delay the process at VO, if they ask for a proof or ratification.

2. Response is same as above, because ur spouse can not marry her/himself. I think this question is mainly for (a) Principle Applicant and (b) dependent's other than spouse (but questions are same), as in case of spouse of Principle applicant's its a repetitive question.

I did the following mistakes. My application is sent and recieved in NS.
The below mistakes are in the New Generic form
1) page 3, in Spouse personal details i have not provided given name exactly as mentioned in the passport. e.g i mentioned Dean Jones instead of DeanJones. Will this be ok since it is cleary mentioned in the application to provide details as mentioned in passport

2) In dependents details section, page 4, question no. 16 it should be my First Name and Last Name or My Spouse First Name and Last Name? I entered my Spouse First Name and Last Name. If i entered incorrect, Will this effect? if so what way?

I am showing my settlement funds in my savings account and FDRs. but my saving account is different from my salary account. do I need to attach the statement of my salary account also, however I am attaching my salary certificate from employer with the reference letter..

My estimation is there are more people applying for Software related NOC mainly from sub-continent, hence I feel our forum captured more data on this NOC may be 20- 30%

Last year the 213X NOCs took lot of time to reach the cap even when the cap was only 300 per CIC released data (around 3 months)

No way 2174 is going to be filled up for 2 months at least, do not worry... lot of consultancies say there is quite a less demand for 2174 compared to last year and they are not receiving applications in huge number.

The figures of 750 in 15 days is invalid... Some one is unnecessarily panicking and posting these figures here.

Who are these consultancies? What information are they supplying? Do they charge a fee even if the cap is reached or the application returned?

my file wont fit in 9"X12" envelop. is it ok to fold or just use long envelope?

Just use the standard envelope provided by your courier company, UPS FedEx or DHL or whoever. It's fine.

The only thing to be careful is not to use a hard-sided box as one would use for sending a large file of documents. FedEx/UPS provide boxes like this, don't use those!

Yes - a student visa is a temporary visa. Yes - you should mention this refusal in your application.

Thank you for the reply and I would like to rate you +1. Plz have it. In light of my student visa denial, I don't have any supporting document if this is demanded by CIC. What could be best option for this and will there be any negative impact to my FSW application b coz of rejection of student visa?
